Overview
This family-run guest house lies in the village of Latrop, set in the Rothaargebirge Nature Park. Pension Latröpchen offers a garden and a terrace with scenic countryside views. The non-smoking rooms at Pension Latröpchen are brightly decorated with country-style furniture. All rooms include satellite TV and a private bathroom, and some have a balcony. A buffet breakfast is provided each morning in the bright dining room or on the terrace. Barbecue facilities and a children's playground are available in the garden, and guests can also relax indoors in the cosy lounge with open fireplace. Just 500 metres from the well-known Rothaarsteig trail, Pension Latröpchen is an ideal base for hiking, cycling and cross-country skiing. A sauna and indoor swimming pool are a 10-minute walk away. Guests enjoy free on-site parking, and it takes just 10 minutes to reach Schmallenberg town centre by car. Buses go from the guest house to the ski resort of Winterberg, 30 minutes away.

“Another home for winter vacation.”
The host was very friendly and kind. The property was like a home rather than a hotel. We had comfortable vacation there even if one day we had to stay at the property unexpectedly due to the weather. Also, I was happy to get some vegies during the breakfast, not only cheese, jam and ham.

“Warm, cozy, relaxing little hotel - a great place to stay for families!”
We actually felt more like at home in Latröpchen than in a hotel. Our room was very, very nice and cozy, warmly decorated, and huge. Everything was so clean, and the bathroom was new and modern. Breakfast was very tasty, and there was always a rich choice of good quality and freshly prepared food. A part of the breakfast/restaurant area was actually decorated as a living room with many family/board games and even a piano on which some of the guests (including our daughter) played. And Family Cremer are such warm and pleasant people - really, we felt like staying with our family. We have so many fond memories from this vacation and we are looking forward to staying in Latröpchen in summer again.
