This apartment was a lovely find in the heart of historic Schiedam—it was a winter visit to see my daughter who's studying at Erasmus university. A little cold to enjoy walking around the locality but I can imagine it's lovely during the summer months. Some excellent recommendations for a local bakery, cafes & nearby restaurants from our very helpful hosts who live next door. I was initially a little worried about how far Schiedam was from Rotterdam Centrum but it has an excellent (and reasonably priced) tram link into the city in addition to a train station. There was canal side public parking for a reasonable daily rate. The apartment was amazing - an old canal side beautifully renovated property. We also loved the chickens in the courtyard!

The property was exceptional! Host greeted us on arrival, explained everything & gave us a list of local recommendations. It was approx 20 min walk from train station, with lots of bars & restaurants nearby. Apartment had excellent facilities & was comfortable & quiet. We have no hesitation in recommending this property. We hope to visit again.

This apartment is an absolute gem in the heart of historic Schiedam—a fantastic location surrounded by charm and character. The space itself is spacious, beautifully appointed, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. Plus, the excellent transport links made exploring the area a breeze. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and local charm.

Hosts were lovely and so welcoming - they were quick to respond to any messages and provided us with information on the area. Accommodation was in a beautiful area with cute little restaurants and windmills nearby. The accommodation itself was clean, spacious and modern combined with a gorgeous cobbled exterior. The chickens were adorable little neighbours that provided us with some fresh eggs in the morning (unfortunately we were always in a rush in the morning so didn't get to enjoy). Would love to stay here again with more time so we could truly enjoy the area more!

These were amazing apartments, everything was done with love, thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details, and the apartment had everything we needed. Excellent beds and linens. Nice bathroom. There is nothing I would add or change. Simply 10/10.

Apartment / facilities were superb. Extremely relaxed atmosphere, especially with incredible outdoor plants. Very close to centre / restaurants. Perfect hosts, who were wonderful. Very accommodating, informative and helpful.

Location, adjacent to interesting town scape and canal with lots of lovely plants was what caught our eye. The chicken friends were an added bonus. Being able to use the outside seat and was the day, foot traffic and watercraft go by. Thoughtful hosts with suggestions about local sights to visit, eating options to explore while also encouraging us to take time out and make use of the outside seat. Kitchen well appointed, easy to use washing machine and dish washer so the travel laundry was under control, while eating in was just as pleasant and discovering local haunts.

Gorgeous apartment in a beautiful location. Excellent facilities. The host was very friendly and met us on arrival and showed us around the apartment. I highly recommend and would definitely go back.

“Super. Comfortable Apartment”

Located in a lovely town with canals and windmill. Spacious, brightly lit and well equipped kitchen stuffed with condiments. Ilse was very gracious to pick us up at the Troelstralaan metrostation in the rain. Even adjusted the floor heaters in the apartment to suit our choice.

Fabulous location on the side of a canal with lots of trees and flowers. It was quiet and so relaxing. Llise made us feel at home immediately and nothing was too much bother . The apartment on the ground floor is so spacious so well equipped and we took advantage of the kitchen facilities. The bed was so comfortable and so quiet. The bonus room as having the chickens in the courtyard who greeted you each time you came home. Schiedam is a hidden gem with lots of good bars and restaurants and a lively market. We were so pleased to have found the apartment and would definitely stay again as easy to get to Amsterdam ( and much cheaper) as well as Rotterdam and The Hague If we could give it 11 out of 10 we would. “An enjoyable couple of days catching up with some work colleagues and also some socialising.”

The location is great for central Schiedam. We were welcomed and shown around by the host and they were great throughout the weekend. We will use the same apartment next time we visit.

The apartment is a true gem. The space is huge compared to anything else available in Schiedam The beds and bathrooms just as we wanted them : a treat for the soul. Communication with Ilse was very quick and easy.

This is a truly special apartment. Our host met us for check in and gave us the tour, and we were greeted by their dogs and chickens! The apartment was spotless, airy, quiet, and calm. The historic part of Schiedam is very idyllic and we were situated on the canal and near the main museums and bars. Everything we needed was provided in the stocked kitchen, and the bathroom was very grand with a powerful shower. I'd also recommend this for family stays as there are 2 toilets and a dining area.
