Overview
Madonna del Poggio B&B is a former church of the 13th century. Set in its own panoramic garden, it features an outdoor swimming pool and views of the Gulf of Follonica. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. The rooms are set on the first and second floor, and offer views of the garden and the green surroundings. Each room is en suite and is decorated in a simple rustic style, with handmade curtains and original paintings. Italian breakfast is served daily in a characteristic room with stone walls. “Amazing nature, food and people”
I stayed over with my parents during a weekend in June and we really enjoyed our stay. The building is actually an ancient church and the view from the pool over the valley and the sea is amazing. The pool area was very quiet. The hosts (mom and daughter) were super friendly and always chatting with the guests. They gave us advice for local restaurants and beaches (one of the most beautiful beaches in Tuscany is very close by) and we were also able to see fireflies in one of the restaurants’ courtyard at night! The hosts had some pets hanging around the property which were also sweet and friendly and made the atmosphere even more familiar. The breakfast was great with homemade cakes and some savory food and fresh fruits as well, instead of a huge impersonal buffet. Definitely recommend it!!

I will mention a few things that I liked the most and for which I give 10/10: The wonderful surroundings of the hotel and the pool area - so much work! Plants, tables, sunbeds, a fantastic pool, trees, lighting - it was nice to spend the evenings. Very, very friendly hosts - mother, daughter and their wonderful dog Rio, which my son still remembers and wonders how he is doing. Daughter gave us useful information about beaches and places to eat. Very comfortable beds and great sleep. An interesting feeling that the building is so historical, the walls of which date back to the 13th century!

The location is beautiful, and the family running the B&B is wonderful. They were so kind and helpful which made an incredible stay even better. The area offers easy access to the beach, and the cities Livorno and Pisa are a short drive away.

“👋Compliments!”
The apartment is loceted in old church, immersed in beautiful nature of famous Toscana. Peaceful, clean with very gentle and educated staff. The breakfast was very tasty, with cakes home made. You can came there what ever the time of the year, the place is beautiful. Even if you are little bit freaky, sleeping in the old church it's could be a very exciting. At the end, compliments!!!
