Just over 6 km from the centre of Savonlinna with its cathedral and annual Opera Festival, Wanha Pappila is a former vicarage now offering bed and breakfast accommodation. Guests can enjoy lawned gardens and the use of communal kitchens. The bedrooms at Savonlinnan Kristillinen Opisto - Wanha Pappila are light and airy and are individually decorated. Each looks out onto the gardens and comes with a private bathroom. Meals and snacks can be ordered and served in the elegant dining room. Guests also have use of communal TV lounges. The 15th-century Olavinlinna castle is a 15-minute drive away, while Savonlinna’s bridges and market square provide pretty walks. The town has many shops and restaurants and boat tours can also be taken.

Since it was fri/saturday night breakfast was served in morning on a very good fridge-tray stored in the kitchen fridge. Self-cooking facilities and comfortable lounge extra bonus. Parking well arranged.

Very friendly and charming welcome by the receptionist. I got all information needed for my stay. Situated in a lovely and quiet area. The room was nice and clean. The bathroom ànd the toilette were shared with the guests of another room. They were also very clean. In the morning is served very good breakfast. The free of charge parking on site. Very good ratio quality-price. If I will return to Savonlinna in the future, this place will be again my accommodation.

A beautiful place to stay close to a lake and close to savonlinna ( 8-10 min by car to the city centre) .. with beautiful sunsets ! Beautiful room. Very well equipped Definitely a quiet and beautiful area

The facility is very far from the center of Savonlinna, so you need a car to be able to move around, but it is very beautiful and calm with a big free space around. The buildings are very beautiful, charming and full of history, and the rooms are comfortable.

In our room (room 9 of Wanha Pappila house) there was a closet (not accessible to us) containing something like heating/cooling equipment, that constantly (i.e., 24/7) produces a really annoying noise, making sleep difficult. Moreover, there was no WiFi coverage in the room and the blinds weren’t dark at all (which is a problem, given that in summer the sky remains bright until midnight and again from 4 a.m.). A room like this simply shouldn’t be given to customers, unless they are made aware in advance of all these problems.

The room was clean and nice, there was a small kitchen and a space to eat/ spend time in. Also the children's play area was useful for us. In general, the area is quiet and well maintained. Staff was friendly and breakfast filling.

Perfect place to stay in relax in a silent zone but 10 min drive from city center. Quite place very beautiful room clean and confortable. Good staff helpfull and ready to answer also by wapp. Very good breakfast in weekend day direct on room, during week in the main building.

The hotel is situated in a very quiet place about 5 km from the centre. I could sleep very well before YKI testi. The first-day breakfast (the portions of it were given to each room separately) was good. Everything was quite clean.

“Best place to know Savonlinna area”
Everything was so perfect here. The bedroom, the beds, the bathroom. Everything you need, and everything really comfortable. The shared kitchen was really clean and useful. The breakfast was enough and very tasty

Very nice location. The room is in a very nice building palace in tipical style merged in a lot of trees. Nice looking place.
