Magical and peaceful setting on the bank of the river, beautiful surroundings, lovely swimming pool and lots of different spots to sit and relax in either the sun or the shade. Comfortable, clean room with contemporary bathroom, all very well maintained. Very warm and personable welcome, plus Cinsault the cutest, most well-behaved dog as a bonus. Breakfast in the garden is a great way to start the day, the abricot-rosemary jam was delicious. Sauve is only a few minutes' drive and very charming.

“MAGICAL”

Beautiful location, fantastic room, pool, delicious breakfast, wonderful hosts, Sophie and Vincent. The little family dog was a pleasure to have around. Sauve is a beautiful medieval village. I was hoping to bump into Robert or Sophie Crumb (which is why we chose to stop here on our trip) but I was happy to see what the Crumb family has drawn so beautifully (I have all their books) in real life.

Everything was perfect, very friendly staff and house is set in a beautiful environment, offering wonderful spaces for relaxation and an excellent breakfast.

“A relaxing stay in a beautiful peaceful setting.”

Very relaxing, set in a beautiful spot right by a meandering river. Plenty of places to sit or lie and enjoy the garden (or pool in the summer). As well as the ducks we saw a heron and other water life. Our room was very comfortable, but be aware of steps both to access the rooms and the bathroom. As it was cooler we had breakfast in a lovely room overlooking the garden and river. Sophie was very helpful and welcoming, recommending a local restaurant for dinner.

Very nice host, perfect location in the nature. Close to multiple activities. We really enjoyed our stay. Also the dog "censault" is very nice.

“Wonderful stay”

We absolutely loved our stay at La Magnanerie. Sophie and Vincent were so kind and friendly. The grounds are so beautiful and peaceful, we could have stayed for longer. The room was modern, comfy and clean. We miss having breakfast in the garden with Cinsault already!

Beautiful, clean accommodation in perfect, peaceful setting, next to the river. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly host who offered us the choice of stating in a modern room with all facilities or in a beautiful shepherd's hut with all facilities and patio overlooking the river. Breakfast was excellent with homemade jams. The venue is stunning. There is plenty of shade from trees, which we appreciated as the temperature was very high : 38 degrees Cool, air-conditioned rooms were a luxury. We also enjoyed a short trip up the river on one of the two kayaks, that are moored at the premises. Hammock, sun bed with voile curtains, amazing swimming pool... all overlooking the river. A little more expensive than other accommodation we had stayed in but worth every penny/euro!! It was a real treat to stay at La magnanerie and we will definitely return Highly recommended 👌 Also, La Servane restaurant,in the nearby town of Sauve, was excellent

The place was just wonderful and the hosts were extremely warm and welcoming. A family run business. have no hesitation in recommending and would wish to stay there again.

“Perfection”

Exceptional property run by delightful hosts. Spotlessly clean.

We loved staying here! The property is very scenic as it runs along a length of river and the sounds of waterfalls are in the background. We stayed in a little cabin like a gypsy wagon and it was such a cute stay with a private outdoor area overlooking the river. Our host was very welcoming and the breakfast served to us in the garden was delicious.

Loved the beautiful and clean pool with a phenomenal view. Wonderful added value of 2 canoes to go on the river, beautiful garden, great breakfast and beautifully renovated rooms. Great and quiet place to relax

Lovely pool. Clean airy bedroom and bathroom. Hosts Vincent and Sophie were fun, helpful and attentive. Great continental breakfast. Relaxing riverside setting.
