We stayed in this house in Sautens and honestly… some places stay in your memory forever — this is one of them. The views are simply beyond words. Every window opens onto scenery so beautiful that it almost feels unreal. What we loved most was the perfect combination of traditional Austrian charm and modern comfort. The house has everything: excellent bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, incredibly comfortable mattresses and bedding, beautiful tableware, and every kitchen appliance and utensil you could possibly imagine. We cooked proper family meals every day exactly as we do at home — nothing was missing. The dining area with panoramic windows deserves a special mention. Sitting there with those breathtaking mountain views felt magical. Our evenings became our favorite part of the trip: the whole family — my husband, children, grandchildren, and I — sitting together on the swing and sun loungers, enjoying drinks according to age 😊 and simply admiring the silence, the mountains, and being together. And then something unforgettable happened. We noticed smoke high in the mountains and almost called the fire department. We went to ask the neighbors — and they explained that it was the Sacred Heart celebration, a local tradition where fires are lit in the mountains in the shape of hearts. Seeing a glowing heart in the mountains under a sky full of stars… it was absolutely breathtaking. By the end of the stay, we all agreed on one thing: we want to make this a family tradition and come back to this house once every year. To the hosts — our warmest wishes and endless thanks.
