This family are the perfect hosts and the hotel is immaculate. All the staff were incredibly helpful and made our stay a real pleasure. Of course, the absolute bonus is the Michelin rated restaurant. Fantastic food and wine, prepared and delivered with real pride, all in a magical Black Forest setting. Go there !

“Friendly staff and excellent restaurant.”

To find the restaurant to be a Michelin mentioned one was a nice surprise and the food was excellent. However, to find the restaurant closed on the Monday night was a surprise, though they did say the chef might be able to rustle something up if necessary. We found somewhere else for dinner but were surprised that no staff member was around anywhere (in reception or the dining area) in the afternoon/evening. Breakfasts were buffet style with great choice available.

Beautiful hotel, good combination of traditional elements and modern touches in the interior. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Restaurant was very good (we especially liked tapas night on Thursday). Large parking just in front of the hotel is very convenient. Situated in the beautiful village of Sasbachwalden.

Loved every minute of our stay, would highly recommend. Excellent breakfast, very beautiful and comfortable rooms, very friendly and fast working staff. We arrived late and were seated at the restaurant half an hour later for dinner, which was perfect because we hadn't arranged anything.

The location, the staff and the Michelin star restaurant were simply amazing. Staff are very helpful. Rooms appear recently furnished and sanitised. The hotel has been underrated with 3 stars. The restaurant's selection of wines and cuisine is simply brilliant! It's the perfect place if you'd want to fine dine and go for a nice hike in nature, but not necessarily for a business trip.
