Overview
Set in a restored stone house, Albergue San Lázaro is 5 minutes’ walk from Sarria Train Station. It offers free WiFi and free parking. Accommodation is in dormitory rooms, some mixed. All are heated and have shared bathroom facilities. Towels and bed linen are provided. There is a TV lounge and an outdoor dining area. The hostel has an old wine cellar carved into the rock, offering a cool area by day and warm area by night. Massage is available and there is a laundry service. An airport shuttle service is available for an extra charge.

“Great stay in Sarria”
I made a mistake with booking a single room when I was travelling with my spouse. Even though that was a busy day and there was no more room to accommodate more people, the staff was so kind to find and place an extra bed into our room.

“Good for a night on camino, would recommend”
Pleasant albergue stay on Camino - friendly host at check in, good facilities (bonus blanket on each bunk). Showers adequate and hairdryer was a bonus. Kitchen facilities looked ok, but there are restaurants and bars very close by

“The best.”
Monica was amazing. I was a bit nervous as a solo traveller and she put me at ease straight away. The communal area was a great space to sit and read and be around other pilgrims.
