Overview
The Lastiry Hotel is situated on the place of the village of Sare, classified one of the most beautiful villages of France, in the heart of the French Basque country. The hotel is housed in a 17th century house and offers air-conditioned rooms equipped with the latest technologies such as LCD TV. A continental breakfast is served every morning. Hotel Lastiry is located just 20 kilometres from Saint Jean de Luz and its beaches and 8 kilometres from the golf course. It is 3 kilometres from the Rhune railway and 1 km from the prehistoric caves of Sare.

“Apart from the check-in experience it was a lovely hotel in a very picturesque village”
Almost everything, the village the hotel. there is a Spar supermarket and several eating drinking options dotted around the village. A very interesting church and I would think it is seen as a tourist destination.

“Second stay at this excellent small hotel”
Our second stay at Hotel Lastiry, this time travelling with friends so booked two rooms. All of us very much enjoyed our two night stay. The superior rooms are large and have large bathrooms as well. Very clean and well equipped with a fridge and kettle in the rooms. An excellent buffet breakfast at €10 a head extra. The staff provided excellent restaurant recommendations.

This hotel was exactly what you would hope for when staying in a Basque village. A beautiful traditional Basque house right on the main square, full of local character and atmosphere. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and everything felt authentic and cosy. The hotel is small and peaceful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Waking up in the middle of the village and seeing the square come to life in the morning was a lovely experience. A perfect place to enjoy the charm of the Basque Country.

“An excellent find!!”
Central traditional location. Convenient parking. Large comfortable bed. Excellent good value, choice of breakfast menu. Great hospitality . Although they do not offer evening meal would recommend the nearby Pikassaria restaurant. Will definitely recommend.

“Lovely place to stay, comfy and clean and staff memebr- Fabienne was very friendly and helpful.”
We only stayed one night and didn’t have breakfast but the stay was wonderful. The host Fabienne was friendly and spoke in Basque (I do too) and that was a plus for me. The hotel is in the town square near amentities and free parking. The weather has been extremely hot and having AC made a huge difference.

A beautiful hotel right in the heart of a very beautiful town. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable, great bathroom. Charming, helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast. Easy parking nearby.

“A lovely place to stay”
Located in a small village, this hotel fitted the local external style and decor, inside had the same feel but had been updated with modern fittings. The owner was friendly and helpful. Faultless!
