Very well furnished. A little oasis in the desert of many empty houses in the neighborhood. The staff was very polite. We stayed less than a day. But next time we will stay more. Thank you

“Charming historic house at the core of the historic center”
It's an experience to stay in an authentic historic house at this location. From there one can walk around and see all the historic region of São Luís. Staff is very friendly, and recommended an excellent restaurant close by. The room was very large and we slept like babies.

The air conditioning made a lot of noise, was located on top of the bed and dropped some water while sleeping, even if turned off. Curtains in general not clean. I usually never write bad critics, I would have told them in person, but the staff (owners) never asked how our stay was.

We stayed there one night during before starting our trip to Lençois. The Pousada is a historic building in the old town of São Luis walking distance to all the sights and the main square with some restaurants. When we stayed there, several of the old town streets were decorated and the main square was very lively including a little parade. However, consider that the old town of São Luis is very run down. We had a superior double room which was on the ground floor with a separate entrance from the courtyard.

“Old charming pousada which needs some updates, mainly at reception desk”
Nestled right in the historical center, but noisy during festas. It is an old charming house, which needs renovations. Breakfast is really good, commanded by Marianette, a very nice lady which understands the business.
