Fantastic welcome and introduction from Stephanie - great recommendations too. Wonderful breakfast. Great facilities team from cleaners to security, gardeners and maintenance people. All very friendly and helpful. Yoga session on site. Amazing views from room. Very clean. Had all amenities - great toiletries. Using WhatsApp made things very easy like ordering ATV; taxi: yoga. Welcome drink and bottle of wine on arrival really set the tone for a wonderful stay and we will hopefully be back! Also we had a lovely little Valentine’s Day treat from the hotel, such a cute touch! Also as an LGBT couple we were made to feel completely welcome and like any other couple. This is not always our experience so I think deserves a special mention. Again huge thank you to Stephanie and the team.

“Beautiful, clean hotel on a mountain overlooking the ocean”

The location of the hotel was perfect. It was right in the center of town, close to lots of really good restaurants, shops, places to do yoga, and the beach (we went to playa Carmen). Note the property is up a steep mountain and requires an ATV or car to get up (you can’t walk up easily at all). We rented an ATV for the duration of our stay and it was fun and necessary. It’s actually the best way to get around town. The hotel has a great view of the ocean and you can see the sunset every night from your balcony. The staff is friendly and accommodating and you can reach them through WhatsApp for whatever you need. The room was a good size and surprisingly had a full kitchen. The shower had good pressure. The AC unit was strong and very necessary because Santa Theresa gets very hot. There is a television in the room that has Netflix and there is free WiFi. Overall we had a great, easy, safe, and clean stay. It is important to us to feel clean and cool after a full day out and about at the beach.

Absolutely everything. An incredible accommodation in an even more incredible location. But I go in order. Location: on top of a hill, on the very edge, with a spectacular view of the ocean and the town. The room is huge, designer decorated, with glass walls and a large terrace (from which you will not leave). (there is also a jacuzzi). All kitchen appliances, large TV with Netflix (I doubt you'll need it near this view). The bathroom is in style (also a view of the ocean and the place) large and brutally clean. Staff: fantastic. They will make sure you feel fantastic. Food: Great (some reviews write that the breakfast is less good and small) - I DISAGREE. For breakfast, you have exactly the choice you need, in large quantities and all with the highest quality products. (included, coffee, natural juice, sweets, bread, spreads and coffee) - and they let you choose where you will eat - breakfast in the room on the terrace is indescribable.

“Want to stay forever”

Vista del Alma is absolutely our best holiday location ever! Santa Teresa helps of course in having a fantastic time, but staying in Vista del Alma really improved the entire stay. Great, clean design room with amazing view over the ocean with beautiful sunsets. Every morning you wake up with the sound of the waves and the jungle. Great breakfast, super nice personnel (special thanks to Julia), also for drinks and snacks. Complementary yoga sessions in the morning are a dream. The jacuzzi on the terrace made it extra special.

Service. We had a car accident and despite our best efforts, we could not physically get to the hotel. Yet we were charged full price, and the manager/owner didn’t respond to multiple requests for a refund given our situation.

We stayed only one night before moving to our vacation rental outside of town. It’s a beautiful hotel near several restaurants, surf shops, and Playa Carmen beach. The views throughout the property, including our room, were phenomenal. Staff were very attentive.

I surprised my boyfriend with a stay at Vista del Alma for his birthday and it was truly special. The team is so nice and made sure everything was perfect throughout the whole time of our stay. They even offered us a complimentary late check-out and welcome drinks. The Villa itself is just so beautiful - not to forget the breathtaking view - and there were many cute animals to watch (without them being to close to the room). On top, the breakfast was super delicious and we also really enjoyed the pool area which was very private. All in all, there is absolutely nothing that we did not like about the hotel. If you are looking for a place to stay in Santa Teresa or Costa Rica in general that is truly magical, Vista del Alma is the place to be! We will definitely come back in the future 😊
