We had a great stay at this hostel. The people staying and working there are really nice and friendly. The location is great - really close to a nice beach.

I absolutely love this place! I’ve been in Santa Teresa for almost a month and I just keep coming back. Amazing people, amazing dogs, the perfect location, and such a strong feeling of family, home, and warmth ❤️

“Great location near the beach with friendly staff”

We stayed here during Christmas and had a wonderful time. The location is excellent, very close to the beach, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The price-quality ratio is a bit on the high side, and our room was small with a shared bathroom. However, everything in Santa Teresa is quite pricey in my opinion. If you’re planning to stay in Santa Teresa, I would definitely recommend this hostel!

“Perfect location, chill vibes, and great people!”

We had the most wonderful 11 day stay at Salty. The property is beautiful, in the jungle, but perfectly located near the beach/shops/restaurants. It is quiet, feels very safe, and is very clean with a cleaning lady there daily. The staff and owners are so friendly and helpful, and are always working to improve the property and surroundings. And the four dogs living on site are absolutely delightful! It is great value for money. We fell in love with Salty and were so sad to leave! We hope to be back some day. Thanks again 😊

“Amazing stay”

The location was really close to the beach and near many Restaurants. The staff was all very nice and showed us good places where we should eat and where the best beaches are.

“Best place for digital nomads!”

This hostel is the best one in Santa Teresa! It's amazing for solo travelers, because the vibe is really great and it's easy to meet people. There's tons of storage space under the bed (bring your own lock) and also on the ledges around the bed (which is full size and very comfortable to sleep on). The curtains around the bed are opaque so you have privacy easily, and you even have your own mirror. The AC works well and it's very spacious in the room. It's not a party hostel so you're able to sleep well and be in a chill environment. The location is great, with a grocery store, the beach, a gym, and all the restaurants nearby. As a digital nomad, I found working here great. I am already booked to come back next week!

Lovely staying! Big beds, clean, airco and very central. The staff is very friendly, want to help you with everything. Ik would definitely go there again!

Everyone was so lovely and friendly, made us feel very welcome. The place itself was very clean and well managed, it was an amazing stay! I also really liked the communal area, it was beautiful and a great place to hang out

“Extended twice, and never wanted to leave.”

Salty is more than a hostel, or even a houseshare; it’s more like a home, a commune even. It has a heart and a soul, and pets <3 It lives and breathes and feeds off of everyone’s love and energy, and then feeds back into it, keeping the cycle going. Uky and Tule, the hosts, are a credit to themselves. What they have cultivated is really very special. If you don’t book to stay here, you’re crazy.

The people, the rooms, the vibe. I was supposed to stay for one week, ended up extending to 3 weeks. The owner had to convince me to catch my flight otherwise I would still be there.

The beds in the dorms are very large and comfortable. The curtains around the bed are thick and ideal to get privacy and cut off light. The dorms are very spacious and provide you with a box to store your belongings. The hostel is super well located, very central in Santa Teresa town. It is cute and well maintained.

Great vibe in the hostel, helpful owner who is on site regularly. Great location - close enough to all the restaurants/bars/the beach but not loud at night. Ability to cook in the shared kitchen and enough toilets/bathrooms for the number of guests.

The beds are just incredible! So spacious and with curtains that allow you privacy even in the dorm. The place also looks like a nice authentic wooden house, not an hostel. You feel like sharing your room with sisters rather than having a spot in a dorm. The staff is also supernice! For Christmas they organised a dinner and secret santa for all the guests.They managed to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere
