The hosts. The location to the beach and everything you could need. The host gave me a papaya. They have a sweeter papaya kind on their ground that drops from the trees and is ready for eating. Take it before the iguanas and squirrels get to it.

I cannot say enough good things about this place, and will for sure be back here when I'm in the area. It's family owned & run, and I felt so at home here. It was such a great place that attracted great guests as well. I felt extremely comfortable and taken care of here. It's a great spot and has everything you need for an incredible price. I work remotely, and was able to very comfortably work here as well which was really nice. The location is perfect as well. Right an access road to the beach, and in the middle of everything. That being said, the rooms are set back enough from the main road where it's not too loud for a sensitive sleeper like me! Great yoga classes here as well. Finally, coffee and a nice little breakfast was served daily, which was a cherry on top. 11/10 Recommend !!! Thank you Don Jon's! See you soon.

Surely the best place to stay in Santa Teresa - My third time there in this hostel over 6 years - love the vibe, staff, travellers, common area is very chilled and super relaxing, I stayed in dorms and it was comfy, best value for money here. Fridge , individual lockers and shelf is definitely good to have

Everything was so over the top! I booked a three bed room with my friends and we loved it! It was spacious, with a private clean bathroom (with only cold water, but since the heat we honestly didn’t mind). The atmosphere of the hostel was unique, we were surrounded by nature and it was really peaceful. I also took a yoga class for 13$ and it was absolutely worth it. The kitchen is well equipped and we were able to cook for ourselves several times. Not a party hostel and we loved the chill vibe. The position is perfect and the beach is literally 5 mins away!! We’re very happy about everything and would love to be back one day!!

Yoga was awesome, great sessions all day long. Nice wooden lodges just a few footsteps away from the best waves we had in Costa Rica. Nice stuff, always helpful…

Staff were very friendly. You can chill in the hostel whole day, lots of hammocks, coffee in the morning, yoga classes... İt is very close to the beach as well.

we stayed in the tree house, cute little setting. basic bathroom, but overall fairly comfortable and the location is really good, very central and close to the entrance to the beach. there was a fridge in the room and a fan, a hammock outside, can’t complain. yoga class was awesome!
