We loved the personal emphasis the wonderful owners put on our experience. They gave us recommendations for the area and helped with everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing and the rooms were lovely.

“Cute, laid-back bed & breakfast”

We really enjoyed our stay at this cute, little bed and breakfast! From the minute we entered the place we felt calm and welcomed! The breakfast in the garden in the morning was always a nice start to our day! It’s located really close to the beach (5 min walk) and across the street there is a supermarket. Don’t expect a luxury hotel rather a small, cute family place to feel safe and comfortable beside the hustle in Santa Teresa! We would definitely come back and we can just recommend to also have dinner at the place once! :)

“Overpriced and not as nice as other places”

Everything was really clean, it was great location and felt really safe. Everything looked as it did on the photos.

The room was comfortable and clean, the place is right by a surfing spot although it was very rough to surf (waves to quick and punchy), although I was told it gets more mellow as well.

Our stay was excellent! The place is very well located, and the accommodations are very comfortable and clean. The highlight is the breakfast—truly exceptional! Additionally, it’s well worth visiting the restaurant and trying the delicious dishes. The owners also make a difference in ensuring an excellent stay, always being helpful and attentive. I highly recommend this place!

“Hidden gem close to the beach”

I have spent 5 nights at the rather simple but also cozy and comfortable b&b which is set within this beautiful Garden, a hidden gem with very heartfelt and nice owners! The restaurant has been my best dinner experience in whole Costa Rica, the food is amazingly fresh and Julio is an amazing Chef! Highly recommended to visit for a romantic and great dinner or just a glass of wine

“Don't pay 5% extra for your stay to use a card!!”

Great location right in the centre of Santa Teresa, a few minutes walk to the beach and directly opposite a supermarket. There are shops, restaurants and surf schools everywhere. It's on a busy, dirt, main road but far back enough and surrounded by foliage to not be bothered by the noise. The garden was tranquil and we spotted some wildlife. The breakfast was good (fruit, bread, cake, jam, tea, coffee or water).

The breakfast was delicious and fresh! Such a beautiful place to stay, so relaxing and naturally beautiful. The staff was wonderful and kind. The spanish tapas were so delicious and authentic!

Very welcoming place with 2 charismatics owners. You get the right tips for what you are looking to do around. Everything was clean, confortable and the garden was beautiful. Great expérience !

“Beautiful Garden and friendly hospitality in Santa Teresa”

We really enjoyed to stay at Bajo el Arbol. The garden is beautiful, we loved to spend time there, and the breakfast. The rooms are quite basic, but they have everything you need and were cleaned daily. We also had a small kitchen to prepare our meals. Mauro and Julio are very friendly guests, they shared lot of tips about Santa Teresa and surroundings. The location also is optimal, only 2 mins walk from Carmen beach.

The property was well cleaned, well organised and equipped with all the necessary things. The environment is cozy and the staff is available for anything when needed. The stay has a restaurant that is a jewel in Santa Teresa.

Julio and Mauro were really friendly hosts who gave us lots of helpful local recommendations. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning (especially the homemade banana bed). The parking at the property and supermarket across the road were very convenient

The B&B is located on the main street. Close to everything (beach, supermarket, restaurants and cafes, ATMs, etc.). The rooms get cleaned every day and the breakfast was excellent. You can hear animals at night. So if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs.

The hostel was very nice and beautiful; perfect location, fantastic breakfast and the hosts we´re very nice and helpful.
