We really enjoyed our stay at Santa Maria a Monte. The hosts were very kind and friendly, the breakfast was absolutely abundant, and the apartment was very nice. We were the only ones to stay in the apartment, as the other rooms were not booked, so we had the place to ourselves, which was great! Highly recommend.

“A lovely gem well located near Pisa”

We only stayed for a night to catch our morning flight from Pisa but we would definitely recommend this place to stay for a few days. Tucked away just off a main road, the B&B was easy to get to and there is generous parking space at the rear. The landlord and landlady live on the premises and were most accommodating and hospitable. The breakfast came at a very positive surprise as it was not only delicious and fresh but also plenty enough to feed 6 people while there were just the two of us, and we had the option to take anything with for our onward travel.

If I could give an 11 I would. The owners are super nice and friendly, and tho they don't speak English and we don't speak Italian we got along just fine. The accommodations were wonderful, just like we imagined an Italian house would look like. The breakfast was fresh and really tasty. And it was really really clean. Oh, and they have a yard where you can park your motorcycle. :)

Everything about this B&B was lovely. The hosts were wonderful, the breakfast was delicious, the room was tidy, spacious and comfortable. I don't think I could have asked for more. Definitely look forward to visiting again!

“Perfect”

Our host was an elderly couple, they only spoke Italian but we understood each other perfectly, he also used google translate when needed. I made the booking about an hour before arrival, they had everything ready, and clean when we got there. The owners made the breakfast for the requested time in the morning, everything was beautiful! Upstairs is a nicely decorated apartment with two bedrooms, two baths, kitchen fully equipped and a livingroom. There is a big supermarket about 800 meters away.

This was simply the best place we’ve ever stayed! The hosts were the sweetest we’ve ever met — so welcoming, kind, and attentive. The accommodation was spotless, incredibly comfortable, and perfectly located. Breakfast was an absolute highlight: delicious, beautifully prepared, and made with so much care. She even made us a fresh omelette, which we absolutely loved! Honestly, it was far better than any 5-star hotel experience. Our stay was truly unforgettable, and we would recommend it without hesitation!

“Slow holiday”

Our hosts were really nice, this B&B is just like in the “old days”, when you would have an amazing breakfast in the kitchen and you could chat with the owners in a very relaxed way. It felt as if time had stopped. We were able to enjoy a slow and authentic holiday. Great value for money, too!

The B&B was really nice and cute: big room with a nice kitchen area to eat. Super clean and with everything that we needed. Breakfast was amazing, a lot of different things and abundant. We had our bikes and the owners offered to keep them somewhere safe.

We liked the location and the free parking that is available! The proximity of the house to Florence and Pisa!The breakfast provided by the hosts is wonderful! Highly recommended!

“A quite place away from the hussle and bustle of the cities”

Set in a very quiet location although on a main road in a rural area. Very easy to reach by car. We found the location very good considering that it is only 30/40 mins away from Lucca and Pisa and just the same distance away from Montecatini Terme and Montecatini Alto. Breakfast was simply delicious. We asked the owners if they could prepare breakfast earlier than usual since we had to leave to Pisa early and the owners were very helpful to prepare a very delicious breakfast for us before the allocated time. Room and bathroom were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Also amazing views of the country side and mountains in the distance. I will definitely recommend it,

Our stay was EXCEPTIONAL. Thanks to the host kidness, attentiveness. Appartment itself SUPER CLEAN and COMFORTABLE. Very COZY and ORGANIZED with CARE and LOVE for the guests, thinking of each small detail you may need. The bed and lines very VERY GOOD QUALITY. The owner was preparing WONDERFUL breakfast with variety of meals, adjusted breakfast time to our need. We felt VERY WELCOMED and would DEFINITELY stay here again once visting this area.
