“A treat”

Very rural location, gorgeous pool and communal areas, excellent dinner with wine, the owners are lovely and the pre stay information was helpful. We booked the two bedroom cottage which was very rustic, the standard rooms are a bit more modern.

Where shall I start!! We stayed in two beautiful lodges with amazing bathrooms. The gardens are so well designed and colourful; including a mini vineyard show casing the various varieties. There is a wonderful swimming pool. It is so very peaceful considering it is quite close to Santiago and very easily accessible from the R5. Fantastic hospitality from Ruth and Vincente. However, what really stood out for all of us was the truly incredible food. Both my friend and I are keen cooks and often struggle to find something to eat that we feel we couldn't have done ourselves. Ruth is a chef; and an extremely accomplished one at that!! Everything we ate (from the dip served with pre-dinner drinks to the breakfast the following morning) was so delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough and will be returning as soon as I can. One night was great for a stop-over but definitely not long enough!!

“Magical gastronomic oasis in the heart of wine country.”

Breakfast was exceptional. Fresh juices, fabulous coffee, home made breads (including gluten free), and delicious farm fresh eggs from happy hens. Gastronomic 3 course feast on our first night was superb including the selection of fresh herbal tea infusions direct from the garden. Fabulous blend of Chilean and International. Ruth & Vincente were exceptional hosts. Our 2 bedroom cabana was spacious, scrupulously clean and totally private. We loved roaming around their amazing gardens full of rose blooms and herbs and mature trees. We will be back!

Wonderful , beautifully landscaped, quiet out of the way property. All the meals were excellent, and everything was attention to detail. Hosts were very friendly, and we felt very welcome in their home. The cabin we stayed in was comfortable and well done, looking out over gardens. Lots of wineries in the area and the drive to the Andes were nice. We had a great time. Wish we would have signed up for the cooking class 😒

One of the most unique experiences in the region. Great food and lovely people. Do yourself a favor and stay here to experience real hospitality.

Best place we stayed in Chile. Amazing food by a top chef accompanied by perfectly curated wines. Peaceful gardens to wander and sit in. A haven of peace. We wish we had booked more than one night.

Ruth and Vicente have created a perfect oasis here in the wine country. The property is lovingly cared for with chickens, dogs, cats and wild life all adding to the ambience. The meals were delicious and they served a different style each night. Many of the ingredients are home grown. The rooms were spacious and private. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

If you visit Chile, you must visit Ruth and Vincentes lodge! The surroundings are stunning with the most beautiful gardens and views. This tranquil lodge was purpose built 25 years and the love and care of all the fine details are evident. The hospitality goes above and beyond form the moment you book, throughout your stay, up until the sad goodbye. As with all reviews re the food, it is exceptional. My husband is a keen cook and we bought one of Ruth‘s cook books before we left the U.K. which made us even more keen to come and visit here. We are planning another trip to Chile within the next 18 months and a stay at the lodge will be the first thing we book.

Where to beginning! Ruth and Vincenti are lovely and welcoming and their lodge is absolutely beautiful. The gardens make a wonderful relaxing environment and attract lots of birds. Our room was very comfortable and had a private seating area. Ruth's food is not to be missed. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast. Their commitment to growing their own produce and sharing their cooking skills shone through.An experience not to be missed, we only wish we could have stayed longer.

We loved absolutely everything about this place!It is by far one of the loveliest we have ever visited - a real retreat in a calm, beautiful and flowerful environment. The room was super cozy and comfortable and decorated with much attention to detail. The food prepared by former chef Ruth - no matter if breakfast, lunch, aperitivo or dinner - was always fantastic. Last but not least we loved all their cute and funny dogs :) We already made another booking for our final night before leaving Chile and flying back home.

Delightful and relaxed stay with top notch food. The location is in a rural setting couple of hours south of Santiago, in an area with fruit tree farms and vineyards. The lodge has six rooms with plenty of fruit trees on the property (we visited at the peak of the fruit season) and a lovely garden + swimming pool. We spent three days and enjoyed all of it. The hosts are Ruth (who is a chef) and Vicente, who made the stay very comfortable and pleasant. There are five dogs as well which was a bonus for us. Breakfast was included in the room rate and we opted to have dinner there all three nights. Very good decision. The food is exceptional and the menu changed each night adding to the anticipation of the meals. To do justice to the magnificent cooking we skipped lunch for those days! After dinner, we did some stargazing sitting out on the lawn and looking at the southern sky. If you are looking for a break from seeing the sights and having a quiet, relaxing time, this is the place. There are some sights an hour's drive away, we did the Colchagua Museum in Santa Cruz (excellent small museum) and a Winery tour which Ruth booked for us.
