Overview
Aalernhüs hotel & spa features a lobby bar with fireplace and a garden with heated outdoor pool. Free WiFi is available on site. The classic-style hotel rooms come with a flat-screen satellite TV, a balcony and a private bathroom with heated floors. Bathrobes, toiletries and a hairdryer are provided. A rich buffet breakfast including fresh waffles, homemade marmalade and egg dishes is served every morning and can be enjoyed on the terrace in good weather. The Aalernhüs restaurant prepares 3-course menu or buffet, while a la carte restaurant Hedwig's dining room offers regional dishes. A selection of dishes and cocktails is served at the lobby bar. “perfect for families”
super friendly staff, all very attentive and very nice. we traveled for the first time with our little baby and it couldn’t been a better experience. the breakfast buffet was also very good and you should definitely try the homemade lemonade there, it was awesome!! thank you very much for everything and will definitely recommend and come back :)

The hotel was very comfortable and family-friendly. We liked that the beach was near enough to walk to. We also enjoyed the pools, especially the indoor one.

“Exceptional Hotel, Exceptional staff, Exceptional facilities”
Excellent. Absolutely excellent. The personnel who work at this hotel are exceptionally friendly, helpful and courteous. Everybody from the gardener to the receptionists, from the room cleaning staff to the bar tender - all of them are, without exception, polite and attentive. The hotel itself, refurbished to a high standard in 2012, is very tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished. Rooms are spacious with mini bar, safe for valuables and a lot of wardrobe and drawer space for clothes and belongings. Indoor Pool is a good size (often the photos of Hotel pools are taken with a wide angle lens which makes them appear huge on the hotel website but when you see them in reality they are about the size of a handkerchief - but this pool is well dimensioned) and the 2 saunas plus steam room are modern and clean. From the hotel it is about 1.5km to the centre of town (20 minutes walk) where a wooden walkway leads to the extensive beach and the Arche Noah. From there you can stroll along the beach for about 3km and then turn off the beach and walk back along the damm wall. A pleasant 8k afternoon stroll or else a good 8k run before breakfast which is also a joy in this Hotel. Great selection of beads, fresh buns, freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly made omelette in front of your eyes to name but a few of the breakfast highlights. This Hotel has certainly earned its 5 star rating.
