“Hidden gem near the mud volcanoes”
We had the best time at Sangachal. The house, swimming pool and rooms are super nice, it looks like an oasis in this very dry area of Azerbaijan. Dinner and wine were delicious, and we really enjoyed the company of the owner and other travelers.

“Value for money”
A small oasis close to the mud volcanoes and the Qobustan petroglyphs. The communication with the host was very fast and he spoke quite good English, and he also gave good advice about the mud volcanoes. You could also order dinner for a little extra money, which was a huge portion and very delicious.

“A unique break from the crowds of Baku and an amazing local family atmosphere”
If we could give 20 points in the rating , we would give but we can only 10. Extremely friendly place and wonderful atmosphere, extra nice owner who takes care of every detail of the stay. Unforgettable conversations about the culture and history of the country, for which we thank you very much. A special opportunity to experience the local atmosphere in a family atmosphere. Amazing excursions to the mud volcanoes and Qubustan. The wonderful wife of the owner Iskander cooks delicious local cuisine, which we highly recommend. All amenities are on site. If one wants to get away from the noise and crowds of Baku this is a special place that will stay in our hearts and we hope to return there.

Friendly owner, very helpful with local advice. Nice food that we booked in advance. We stayed on a strange night when there were problems with the municipal gas, then electricity and then water...so it wasn't the most comfortable experience, but not really the fault of the guesthouse. We loved the friendly cats, by the way!

“Perfect location for Gobustan, nice accommodation 10/10”
Perfect location to visit Gobustan (mud volcanoes and all the interesting places), quite comfortable room, quiet and peaceful. Kind, friendly and nice people, open to help and give the best advices. They also serve delicious traditional food made of local products. Parking outside for free. Hot water, wifi, nice heating in the room. Kettle to prepare you coffee or tea inside the room. Toilet ok. Everything was perfect. We would comeback.

“Excellent.”
Black Mountain Guest House is a really nice place to stay. The owner (Mr Iskandar) and his wife were very kind and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast and dinner was excellent - delicious home-cooked meals available on order. My room was comfortable, internet access is very good, and the location is close to Gobustan, the mud volcanoes, and the Caspian sea is five minutes walk away.

We had a very friendly welcome and received some good tips from the owner for swimming in the mud vulcanoes. Breakfast and dinner were delicious.
