Overview
Prima B&B Hostel is situated a 15-minute drive from Sandakan Airport and close to restaurants, as well as relaxation and entertainment options. It offers 24-hour room service and complimentary Wi-Fi access. The property is a 15-minute drive from the Sandakan Crocodile Farm. Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary, set up in 1964 to rehabilitate orphaned baby orang utans, is a 40-minute drive away. Labuk Bay is an hour’s drive away. Cooled with air conditioning and a fan, the non-smoking regular and dormitory rooms come with an electric kettle, towels, linen and blankets. Bathroom facilities are shared. Guests can head to the 24-hour front desk for assistance with luggage storage, or to request for an iron or hairdryer. There is also a common laptop for use.

Friendly and helpful staff who gave good food recommendations. It's at a good price as Sandakan is quite expensive. Basic shared toilet and shower but did the job.

“Perfect base to see all of the attractions”
The property was clean and had a fridge which was super handy. The reception staff were really lovely. The location was a little random but it had loads of food options and was a good base for day trips to Sepilok and the main attractions as main city centre of Sandakan didn’t offer much was more crowded and was an extra 20 mins away from all of the attractions

“Simple but cozy!”
Very lovely staff, room was a great size and felt clean. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was shared but one of the showers didn’t work and the water didn’t get hot, but wasn’t really an issue considering Borneo is so hot. Location was good close to shops, cafes and restaurants. We’d stay here again! Thank you

Very friendly staff, he let me borrow iron. It was easy to find food or eating place. All walking distance. Marts are everywhere. They also opened late night.

Everything was wonderful. The staff were really helpful, and they spoke fluent english. The room had just been renewed and everything smelt new. They had amazing decoration, probably with the help of a local designer. They are also pioneers in putting towels as a blankets. Sandakan has been the best stop of my 2 years trip in Malaysia. Wish I could have stayed longer...
