Las Calzadas is set in Cantabria’s Oyambre Natural Park, just outside the fishing village of San Vicente de la Barquera. “Very enjoyable stay in a location where we would have been happy to stay longer”
Breakfast was not included in the booking but paid for depending on what you chose from the wide choice of items on offer. The location was superb with lovely country views but only 15 minutes walk from St Vicente.

Breakfast might as well have been non-existent, probably the chummiest breakfast we've had yet on our travels. You simply go in a room and buy food like croissants, et cetera and then sort it out yourself.

Very friendly staff, the room was very clean and comfy. The hotel is located a little bit outside of San Vicente, but with a car this is not a problem. Free private parking is also possible.

“Gorgeous location and excellent value”
This hostel is located in a stunning location. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are suitably comfortable and equipped. There is a light breakfast available in the morning which was perfect for on the go. Parking was ample.

“Convenient stay along the Camino if you take your own food.”
It was clean and comfortable. Right on the Camino but far out of town. No dinner available take your own food as you pass through the town. Not easy to find your way up the huge hill. But rewarded with amazing views and nice resting place for the night.

“Beautiful rural house”
It was a beautiful stay on the Camino del Norte and I awoke to the sound to the cow bells in the morning. A wonderful spot.
