“Lovely peace and quiet”
Nick and Ekaterina are the sweetest host ever! We felt very welcomed since the beginning and the cabin was really really clean. They were really willing and open to whatever we neeeded, they shared recommendations and overall was a wonderful experience!

“Beautiful and comfortable mountain-view house”
The house was everything we were looking for, a mountain holiday home with a rustic feel but very fancy and well equipped. The kitchen was well perfect for two people, the beds were extremely comfortable, the house was warm during very cold days, there is plenty to do close-by (close-by being up to a 1 hour car-ride) such as hiking or eating out. The best part, in our opinion, was the huge and amazing hot tub, which is the reason we chose this cabin over the others we had eyed.

“Perfect mountain getaway (with great WiFi, for the teenagers in your life)”
We had a wonderful stay at La Cabana Maria. Nick, Kate (and little G) were great hosts, offering help and suggestions for places to visit and we made the most of the location. Multiple hiking routes and picturesque towns like Lierganes and San Roque de Riomiera are close by, while Santander (surprisingly beautiful with great beaches), Comillas and the caves at Altamira are only an hour away. Bilbao is also within an 1 and 3/4 hours by the coastal motorway (we don’t recommend the alternate route over the mountains - it was pretty hairy) and the Carbaceno park is a must. The cabin has a great rustic feel, while including all the modern comforts you need (the WiFi and smart TV is great, considering the location). This was our first visit to Cantabria and we will definitely return - thank you Nick and Kate!

“Peace & tranquility”
Nick,Kate & baby Gabriel gave us a very warm welcome. The house is beautiful, situated in a gorgeous valley with stunning views. Ideal base for visiting the area.

“Special place”
Everything about our stay was perfect. The surroundings and views were breathtaking, and the cabin was cozy and beautifully decorated. The house was very well equipped, providing all the comfort we needed, even in such a remote location. The owners were incredibly kind, offering all the information we needed and leaving us a basket with delicious yogurt and cake. It was one of our best stays ever, my kids were in love with the cabin and we left with the idea that we should definitely come back.
