“Great concept, great stay”

Our stay at Villa Liberty, part of the Borgo Collection, was overall very enjoyable. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, and the level of hospitality remained consistently high throughout our visit. The à la carte breakfast was excellent, offering a thoughtful selection of dishes that felt fresher and more refined than a standard buffet. We were also pleasantly surprised by an upgrade to a room with beautiful views over the Val d’Orcia, which was a generous and much‑appreciated gesture. The property represents the albergo diffuso concept very well. This model, where rooms are distributed across restored buildings within the village, supports the revitalisation of historic communities and offers guests a more authentic experience. Our accommodation in the villa located outside the main borgo was particularly enjoyable thanks to the large private outdoor area, which is a real advantage in sunny weather. The short walk to the restaurant and other areas of the borgo was not inconvenient and added to the charm of the stay. The welcome drinks served in the beautifully maintained garden were another elegant touch. The room was clean and comfortable, although the mattress was slightly too soft for our personal preference. The restaurant is excellent and worth booking on its own. The cuisine was of high quality, and the wine list for degustation was exceptionally well curated, reflecting a deep understanding of the region’s strengths.

NIce rooms, clean, comfy. Staff was very attentive, first class. The restaurant is excellent, and the breakfast simply superb. They offered us tea/coffee upon arrival and gave us welcome drink coupons too. Interior decoration was great, quality building materials used all around. Can only recommend.

We especially enjoyed the beautiful hotel with its unique rooms and lights. The value for money was excellent, and the secure parking as well as the extremely friendly and attentive staff were a big plus. We were personally shown to our room, and our luggage was carried from the car into the house – something we’ve never experienced anywhere else. The „Capitano Collection“ where this hotel belongs to was also explained to us in detail using a map. The breakfast was overwhelming, with a wide variety of delicious Toscan and other options.

Clean, beautifully decorated, quiet in good location and very comfortable. Breakfast is offsite in a trattoria owned by same group but very generous portions and made to order - much better than the usual buffet breakfasts. Free public parking nearby. Great value for what you get!
