“Home away from home”

Staying with Pilar and Oswaldo was like being in your home away from home. They were so very kind, attentive, personable, and engaging. Oswaldo is a fantastic chef; I highly recommend asking for the local breakfast and eating lunch or dinner there to get his full range of delicious masterpieces. Pilar is a walking encyclopedia of Ecuadorian (and world) culture, history, and food; she shares incredibly interesting stories. Both were so lovely and I cannot wait to return. This is the perfect destination for a quiet getaway with the beautiful beach right across the beach.

This is a lovely relaxing place. The cabin was comfortable with everything you need to enjoy your stay. This is a small friendly town with everything a few steps away. We enjoyed the hammocks in the shady courtyard and petting the family collie dog. But best of all we loved the hosts, Pilar and Oswaldo, who were so welcoming and helpful. Pilar was very patient with our terrible spanish. Oswaldo is a retired-to-the-beach professional chef and loves to cook for guests. And we enjoyed our best meals in a lonnnnng time. Beautifully presented, delicious healthy dishes, fresh local ingredients, prepared with love! Thank you very much Oswaldo and Pilar, we loved our stay with you and wish you both the very best!

“Amazing weekend”

The hospitality was incredible. The rooms were super clean. The pets were really friendly. It's such a relaxing and friendly environment, and the food was amazing, make sure you order the breakfast! The communication to find the place was also clear and in great detail, fantastic! Thank you so much for a great stay, we will be sure to recommend you to everyone!

What an amazing place with amazing hosts! Comfy room with a smart tv, air conditioner, Bluetooth speaker. Then a great breakfast (you get to choose American or Ecuatorian), you can also ask the great chef Oswaldo for lunch or dinner for a small fee. All the food was so nice and if you want you can learn a little about how it's cooked. Pilar and Oswald are very friendly, chatty and go above and beyond to make sure you arrive safe and have a good time. For anyone learning Spanish, they are also very patient and helpful! The town is small, not touristy at all and very relaxing. One day I'd love to return!

“Quiet cabañas in a jungle atmosphere”

Rarely have I felt such at home, even though I only stayed one night ! We took a night bus and arrived at 7am, the room wasn’t occupied so we were offered a super early check-in which was super appreciated ! Great breakfast, you feel like in a jungle, by the beach. Gracias por todo Pilar & Oswald !!
