“Great location, basic facilities”

Location is walking distance to the best beach for sunset, which is ideal! Free breakfast of toast and tea/coffee is enough to get you started in the morning but not a full meal. Weekends get quite lively and the front area is a good space to chill out

“Social hostel close to beach”

Friendliest hostel I’ve ever stayed at! The hostel owner and staff is what really makes this place so great. It’s very social without being a party hostel, so you meet a lot of people but still get to sleep peacefully during the night. The location is also good, about 5 mins walk from the beach where you can swim, drink, eat and see sunset. 100% recommend this place!

“Cool place”

A really cool and quiet place with a nice vibe. It was clean, had wifi, drinking water and a simple breakfast with nice brewed coffee. The staff were supernice and helpful! I only stayed one night but they offered me a lesson to learn to drive motorbike since I don’t drive that which I really appreciate. They also helped me to order tuktuk when I left.

I had a wonderful stay at Love Shak in Siquijor. The place is cozy, clean, and has a great atmosphere for travelers looking to relax and enjoy the island vibes. A special mention to Rita, the owner — she was incredibly kind, friendly, and always ready to help with local tips and recommendations. You can truly feel the love she puts into the hostel. I will definitely come back on my next trip to Siquijor. Thank you for everything!

The beds were comfy, and the bathrooms were big! The common area was nice and open air. Also Mama Rita was so so kind and brought my friend and I to see some of the sights, as neither of us could ride a bike! The staff are so lovely and nice as well, and were extremely helpful! Location is great for the beach, only a 5 min walk and a 15min walk to the town where a lot of restaurants are.

“Amazing Stay at Love Shack Hostel!”

I had an incredible time at Love Shack Hostel! The rooms were comfortable and clean, providing a great place to relax after a day of exploring. The hostel also offers super cozy lounge areas, perfect for chilling and meeting new people. One of the highlights was the Family Dinner, which creates such a welcoming and social atmosphere—perfect for getting to know fellow travelers! The service was absolutely outstanding! The staff goes above and beyond to help with anything, always looking for solutions and making sure guests have the best experience. They’re super friendly, reachable via WhatsApp, and truly make you feel at home. The location is perfect—close to the beach and nightlife, making it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer. I can’t recommend Love Shack Hostel enough! If you’re looking for a place with great vibes, amazing people, and top-notch service, this is the spot to be.

“Love shack is a fine hostel if you love hostel living.”

The folks working at the hostel are incredibly friendly and try to go above and beyond. Two of the dorms are relatively spacious with eight beds. It is hard to get any privacy, though, because there are no sheets or privacy curtains around the beds. The third dorm has many beds And no windows and it’s like a concrete cell. I appreciated that they ran air-conditioning from 5:30 PM to 11:30 AM and open to the doors to air out the space during the day.

Very friendly and helpful staff! The hostel was located close to the beach and you could also rent scooters if you wanted to go further. Fun activities at the hostel!

“An Amazing Place that we will always remember”

From the moment we stepped off the Tuk Tuk, we were greeted warmly and felt right at home. Rita welcomed us like family. Our room was fantastic and really comfortable and having two pillows per bed was a great touch. One evening, we joined the entire hostel for a pasta night followed by an incredible karaoke session, which was especially vibrant on Friday while the other nights were more relaxed. It was a great opportunity to meet some truly wonderful people. The location couldn’t be better—right next to a stunning beach and only a short Tuk Tuk ride to JJ’s in the evening. Although exploring Siquijor is easier on a bike, I was new to riding; thankfully, Rita spent time teaching me the basics, giving me the confidence to ride on my own. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay here. It’s a really special place with friendly and helpful staff throughout.

The owner was so nice and cool. I had a great time staying here. The location is also accessible. I would love to come back to this place soon.
