What a great find! A perfect, sweet little apartment to spend a few days or a couple of weeks...months, even. Tasteful decor, well-equipped kitchen, storage space, a beautiful garden... in a quiet street a couple of monutes' walk from all the action.

“Cueva cabana over looking the bay”

A series of cabanas over looking San Juan bay, Cueva being the smaller type. A few minutes walk to the beach, shops and bus stop. Kept clean by lovely caretakers (the owner, Jan-Luc, was away during most of our stay but remained in WhatsApp contact throughout, in English). Key access to own cabin, key access to complex when locked. Excellent wifi/internet/network throughout. Basic kitchen, 3 ring gas hob, small fridge/freezer, a few pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Shelving to store food. 5 gallon water bottle provided. Lovely front seating and eating area (chairs, tables, hammock). Clothes washing sink outside with drying line. Lots of local info provided. Small bedroom, comfortable double bed with bedside table and next to main light. Small sofa, and shelving for storage. Gets hot, but good fan provided. Adequate lighting. Separate toilet and shower (but both within cabin). Generally quiet (out of main area of town).

Literally a bunch of private tiny houses, everything you can imagine is availabe (kitchen, salt, oil, fan, shelves, filtered water). Couldnt be more perfect in my opinion, either for solo travelers or couples, perfect. Exactly as the photos!

The view from our cabin was amazing, we could see the beach from our little terrace. We had a great time staying at the cabina, thanks.

The place is situated a short walking distance from the main beachfront restaurants and the center. But even though it is centrally situated it feels very detached from the rest of town in the best way possible. Surrounded by nature in a very tranquil place with an amazing view. To top it off the hosts Jan Luc and Liz are lovely people who were even kind enough to share a home made fresh fish dinner with us. It was also the most reliable internet we had during our 3 week stay in Nicaragua. This is a place where you could easily just stay for a few months to work remotely and feel like you are living the dream.

Cosy little basement apartment with rustic charm. Nice wooden beams and lovely shower. Everything required for cooking meals in the kitchen and comfy bed with fan. Good location 5/10 mins from centre. Communication easy with host and friendly neighbours!

Nice apartment with beautiful views and private sitting and dinning area outside the door to relax and catch some fresh air. Good price. Nice responsive owner.

The location is fabulous....a short walk to the centre. The outside area for eating and relaxing is lovely. We booked for 2 nights and extended for another night.

We stayed in Cabana La Cueva! Nomen est omen, the bedroom was really like a cave with massive walls and low ceiling. Great Patio with table and launch chairs, overlooking the Bay of SJDS. 5 min walk to the Malecon. The dutch owner was very friendy and accomodating. A kitchen area with basic tools was provided, but we did not use it. Safe Car parking was provided at no additional cost.
