“Worst night I've ever spent in a hotel”

firstly when we checked in we had to wait for the front desk to finish their smoking break, but he was nice and we gave the place the benefit of the doubt, the hallways were dirty and it smelled like cigarettes until we got to our room. the room looked old and dirty but we said it's just one night. Around 4:50 am the fire alarm started going off and that woke us all up, we tried to call the front desk but the phone had no connection so we went to check what was happening and we have to wait in the parking lot with all other guess until the firefighters arrived and finally turn the alarm, in the morning when we wake up i saw a cockroach and it grossed me out so much this was the worst night I've ever spent in a hotel we live 1 hour from Sacramento and we wanted to spend a relaxing night since we had palanes the next day in the town. I work in hotel for 6years and this hotel need resources, training staff and better ownership.

I liked the location and regardless of the room being outdated it was still cleaned no animals or smell.
