Overview
Set in 2 separate buildings in San José del Cabo's charming Artistic District, El Encanto’s rooms feature Mexican hacienda style architecture. All rooms feature cable TV, as well as a bathroom. Some include a kitchenette and dining area. Some rooms overlook the outdoor pool or the garden with private chapel. Both hotel buildings are separated by a quiet street. Pacific beaches are just a 5-minute drive from the hotel. Scuba diving, fishing, golf and surfing are all popular activities on the surrounding coastline.

“I'm so happy I got to stay there twice.”
It's an oasis in a busy tourist town. We were stunned to hear it's closing in June be torn down for the construction of a high rise condo block. What a waste of a perfect tourist hotel.

“It was "ok".”

In the centre of town. Traditional style Mexican hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Nice pool. Beautiful garden. Restaurant attached is really good.

“Lovely retreat in the middle of cute San José”
The sweetest little hotel in the heart of San José, quiet but in the middle of life, if you want to join. The rooms are big and lovely and the staff is amazing. Everything you want (breakfast, restaurants, bars, art galeries, shopping, pharmacies…) is super close and the little swimming pool offers a wonderful opportunity to refresh.

“A graceful and stylish place to stay.”
Great location if you like being near the center of the city close to restaurants, arts stores and the main square. The pool was very clean and relaxing.

“Beautiful hotel in lovely setting to see old town SJD.”
The hotel was much more attractive than it looked on the website. Room was beautiful older style Mexico. Quiet. Overhead fans plenty for a cool night sleep in February. Peaceful setting in lovely part of old town. Pool quiet and surrounded by greenery. Restaurant attached where we ate dinner was a little expensive we thought but ok to decent food. Walked to local cafe from hotel for breakfast. Wished we had stayed a little longer! The part of the hotel across the street would have served our needs for a one night stay. Didn’t see the rooms but looked like another nice garden setting.

Rip off on taxi service. The driver freaked out and the lady in the front wanted me to pay a lot of $ for a ride from encanto to the marina. A 7 min, 3 mile cab ride for $35!? That’s not acceptable
