“Beautiful, relaxing and peaceful place to stay.”

The view to the accommodation leading up to the house is amazing! The grounds are beautiful! The staff were all lovely and helpful. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the facilities were good. We ate in the restaurant next to the house and the food was great. It was so peaceful when sitting in the garden area in the afternoon and relaxing with a drink. We had to leave early the next morning, so the receptionist kindly made us up a breakfast box to take. Loved our stay, beautiful setting!

“Luxurious, but a bit pretentious”

Amazing residence and window views. Obligatory walk around! We had an upgrade 🥰 Beautiful interiors and the history. The 1st night was too cold and the staff made what she could to for it to be cozy - plus blankets, covers and a heater.

This villa is truly one of the most remarkable places we’ve ever stayed. From what we learned, it’s over 500 years old — yet still perfectly preserved, radiating timeless beauty and character. Our room was elegant and comfortable, and the shared spaces were equally charming, full of history and quiet grandeur. We happened to stay during a rainy day, but even then, the atmosphere was magical — the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and simply enjoy the moment. The restaurant is absolutely worth trying; if we lived nearby, we would dine there often. The cuisine, ambiance, and service are all exceptional.

“I travel a lot throughout the EU and the world, but this is by far the worst experience…”

A very bad experience. And this review applies to both the property and Booking.com.The building is several centuries old, and the renovation was done in the last century?! Of the shabby chic, only the shabby remains… From the very arrival at the location, it was a bad experience: a dilapidated room and furniture, questionable hygiene, smell of dampness…. Insufficient space for belongings. Lack of hangers, except for those in the wardrobe which had a heavy smell of dampness and age. TV too small, nightstands too small, etc.… Inside the room, a mobile air conditioning unit that, when operating, produces noise of 70db+…On the evening of arrival, there was a party on the ground floor that lasted past midnight, with staff cleaning up after 1 am… During the night, a strong wind was blowing, and it was banging against some metal doors, so throughout the entire night there was an unbearable metal noise.In the morning, breakfast in the basement - which smells terribly of dampness. Such a stench that you don't feel like eating. Breakfast was cold - cold scrambled eggs, hard bread, sour salami, etc. We didn't go to breakfast again.I complained about the noise throughout the entire night and the questionable hygiene in the room and expressed my wish to leave the B&B. The polite staff member didn't have information on whether I would receive a partial refund from Booking.com or not, and Booking.com was not responding throughout our entire stay, so we didn't want to risk losing around €400 + the cost of new accommodation. Following the complaints, the hotel maintenance ensured they cleaned the room better (removed trash left by previous guests - cream behind the nightstand), changed the bed linen, put out new towels… When booking the hotel, guided by the pictures, the terrace, and having coffee in the sun on the terrace… that is completely non-functional, it seems the terrace is not part of the hotel's amenities, although the pictures on Booking.

“Special wedding weekend”

It's a wonderful historical estate with beautiful buildings not far from Pisa and Luca. A truly ideal location for our son and daughter in law's wedding. Particularly noteworthy was the care and attention of the staff who seemingly effortlessly looked after our needs. We had a wonderful time. Truly worth a visit.

It's a beautiful old stately home in grounds - historic, memorable and unique. The hallway and staircase are grand and there are fresco paintings on some of the ceilings, and many old paintings. Our room had a particularly nice view in two directions, including the gardens and the old 18century coffee house. The breakfast is excellent, and can be enjoyed indoors or outdoors in the garden. The staff were friendly and helpful. Because it is a historic building, some modern features are lacking - there is no lift, the wifi only works in the ground floor reception hall, and the air conditioning uses a big tube that goes through the window so you can't properly close the curtains. But if you like the idea of staying in a unique piece of living history, it's a great place.

Our stay was excellent. Despite being only for one night, the property offers a unique and welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of a private villa. The breakfast was of high quality, and the staff were both polite and attentive. The villa also boasts a charming old-world character, and its interiors are truly amazing, blending historic elements with beautiful design details.

Such a unique space to stay. Everything was good. We stayed 2 nights with breakfast included. Second morning we had to leave before breakfast hours and they prepared a breakfast box for us in the reception. Staff was lovely. We also had dinner one evening in the Osteria at the place. It was delicious. Charming place, clean with an easy access to both Lucca and Pisa.

“Grand and beautiful”

Located about a 15 minute drive from Pisa airport. We chose this accommodation as we landed quite late and wanted a convenient place to stay away from the city. The villa is located in countryside and is so peaceful and relaxing. We entered the gates of the villa and were immediately blown away. This is so grand and beautiful. We turned right through the gates to find the hotel parking. We had been sent self check in instructions as we arrived after 9pm, which were simple to follow and in 5 minutes we were in our room. The room was decorated sympathically with the building and its surroundings. It was beautiful and huge with high ceilings. The view was outstanding from our room. We walked around to the outside seating area and had a cold beer and found ourselves sat in beautiful gardens with strings of lights. It felt very special and relaxed. We slept soundly and decided to explore the grounds before breakfast. All of the staff seem to love working there. They are passionate about the villa, its history, and maintaining its beauty. After a delicious breakfast we went to check out and was offered a look at the grand ballroom. The receptionist told us about the history of the building and it's frescoes and again, was passionate about the place. It was the most fabulous start to our Tuscany Road trip. Next stop Lucca, which is not too far away.

“Great apartment in a great villa, original castle feeling”

I loved the castle-feeling, we had a huge apartment, all details suited to the villa (furniture, mirror, lamps), we appreciated the airconditioning and the modern, extra clean bathroom. Breakfast was super rich, we were sorry that the restaurant was not open and we xould not try it for dinner.
