“Stunning experience and the highlight of my week in wonderful Tuscany”

From the moment I arrived it put a smile on my face. Beautiful place, sunshine and very importantly, wonderfully friendly staff and hosts. The tour, lunch and wine tasting was wonderful and in an age of poor value, this was excellent value. The tour guide was so friendly, knowledgable and engaging. The accommodation was stunning. Your Tribololetto (might have spelled it wrong) was such a gorgeously fresh expression of Sangiovese. Thank you so much for the highlight of my week in Tuscany…

Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Offered us a glass of wine at check-in. They were clear about what they were offering and always ready to help us. They also were quite accommodating when we wanted to leave our car for a couple hours after check out. We were offered a glass of wine from their winery at check in which was greatly appreciated. The rooms are spacious and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay and the estate was pittoresque with a beautiful view of the Tuscan hills.

The location is great, with San Gimignano on the doorstep (but note - we drove rather than walk, as the track back is a v dark at night for 25 mins walk, scary even with head torches). Parking was easy though. The apartment was lovely and well kitted, the terrace was beautiful was great views. Pool was lovely and spacious. Breakfast was the best, so many lovely homemade or local treats and the staff super friendly, welcoming and helpful. We didn't get to enjoy the wine, but that and the tours are a good perk!

“Excellent stay!”

We loved our stay at Tenuta Guardastelle. The surroundings are so picturesque, it felt like we were in a fairytale. The breakfasts are home cooked and delicious, the rooms are comfortable, the pool is fantastic and the staff are so helpful and friendly, we felt like we were part of the family. Every aspect has a personal touch which is so warm and welcoming. We did a wine tasting and it was interesting and also nice to chat with other couples. Susanna has done a great job of creating a warm and friendly dreamlike bubble!

Stunning location and wonderful views. Our apartment was rustic, very good AC as it was extremely hot. Pool and setting was amazing. Breakfast was very good.

Guardestelle is an oasis of tranquility and beauty. Everything about the estate has been done with the finest attention to detail and with high standards. The rooms are generous in size and have been furnished beautifully and with authenticity, in keeping with the age of the house. The pool is stunning and a perfect place to relax with a book. Fausto, his family and the wider Guardestelle community are perfect hosts, always ready to go above and beyond and make you feel at home. After a delayed flight, we were greeted by Fausto with a glass of wine and him telling us he let the nearby restaurant we had booked know we might be late. The breakfast was fabulous with homemade breads and cakes, and views to die for. The walk up to San Gimignano rewards with spectacular views, and on return in the dark, with a magical display by the fireflies, twinkling like fairy lights in the hedgerows. I am already planning a return trip!

We loved the very comfortable and homey accommodation, as well as their thoughtful selection of teas and snacks available all day. Speaking of delectables, we enjoyed the wonderful view from the terrasse where we had breakfast every morning. On offer was a great selection of pastries from a local bakery, the option to have eggs and bacon, a selection of cold cuts (as well as fruit salad, cereals and yoghurts for the more healthy food inclined) and a savoury offering that changed every day, as did Stefania's cakes - her biscotti justified the trip alone! We regret not having allowed some the time to attend a proper wine tasting session, but the wines we sampled from their own vineyards were delightful, especially the Chianti riserva. We had the good fortune of test driving their newly acquired ebikes, which enabled us to take in the gorgeous surroundings at a more leisurely pace. We particularly appreciated the very personal service from Fausto, as well as the handy map and restaurant recommendations from Claudia. The tenuta is fantasticly located: we walked to SG every evening for dinner, about 15 mins via a quiet and scenic back road, which meant we were both able to enjoy the fantastic local wines! In short: we can't recommend this place enough!
