“A Dream Holiday in one of Tuscany's Hidden Gems”

Our stay at Ricciolo was beautiful, and felt like a dream! We were met by Rosanna on arrival and given a great in depth tour of the home, and how everything works, as well as a complimentary bottle of wine and some local cantucci. It was by far the best greeting I've ever experienced at a holiday rental. The views from the bedroom were impeccable, and similarly, the the poolside area is a relaxing retreat with views for miles around of nature at its finest. With air conditioning throughout the property, and window filters allowing for you to have a the Tuscan breeze 24/7, the house outdid any spa in terms of relaxing ambience, too. Words really do not do how great the villa and its location is justice, or express how easy it is to never want to leave, not to mention that the neighbours were always friendly when we went out for evening walks, or the beautiful sunsets, food, and wine, that seemed to be in reach at all times. The beautiful medieval town of San Gimignano, the conveniences of Poggibonsi, and the miles of surrounding countryside are very close by (though of course being rural, a car is necessary) and comes with the great benefit of opening up day-trips to Firenze from Poggibonsi train station, as well as sojourns to all of the local vineyards, restaurants, and markets! For one of us, it was our first holiday in 17 years, and after a year long bout with a chronic illness in addition to this, and the pandemic having isolated all 3 of us prior to the trip, the holiday was a reminder of all the good times still to be had, and of what a beautiful country Italy is, especially our favourite towns of San Gimignano, Lucca, and Siena. I hope to one day be lucky enough to live somewhere this peaceful, and I highly recommend staying here for yourself and experiencing it firsthand.
