I was met by Francesca smiling & waving in the main square just outside the old walls of San Gimignano. Traveling around Europe for 6 weeks I had a large suitcase and Francesca kindly offered to pick me up from the bus so I didn’t have to wheel my suitcase to the property. B&B Il Fienile has what must be the best view of the old town, making staying at the property my so worth it. Sitting in the beautiful gardens, taking it slow and marvelling at the view. Francesca & Mauro were always around to help and assist, whether to provide recommendations of where to go, what to do and where to eat or offering to arrange special experiences. They just appear to simply love hosting people from around the world and sharing their home. Breakfast each morning was delicious with home made cakes and different options each day. And when it was time to go again Francesca was more than happy to drop me off back to the bus stop so I wasn’t pushing my suitcase up hill

Very comfortable accommodation, clean, large room with private space and a beautiful view of the valleys and the old town. The hostess is professional and helpful with a wonderful Italian spirit.

“An amazing stay”

The place, the breakfast, the view, the host, everything was superb. The best breakfast we had in Italy, we are so happy that we added it :) Francesca's recommendations and help pointed us to views we wouldn't otherwise have seen. As a couple traveling by car, having a private parking was great :) 11/10 Truely.

We were very happy staying here. Our host, Francesca, is the most delightful person you want to meet. She is a great ambassador for Italy and especially San Gimignano. Many recommendations were provided for us. The room had everything you need. Breakfast was very good. Her father who lives on the property is a wonderful man. He gave us a ride into town when we needed it. It is a 10-15 minute walk all uphill into town. The walk is very doable, but the ride was welcomed.

We loved everything. Francesca is a fantastic hostess. So many wonderful recommendations and a lovely evening spent chatting to her about Italy, and biking routes in the area. Breakfast is decadent and a delight. We will return the first opportunity we get. Loved it.

The property was warm, and newly renovated. Everything needed was there. Super comfortable. The place is very close to the city, just a walk away. The host was very kind and friendly, we had a wonderful time!

Such an incredible spot looking straight up and the San Gimignano settlement. Only a few minutes walk from the historic centre. Just park the car and enjoy. The hostess is exceptional. Fun, bubbly and great English. Breakfast - we were not going to have any, but she insisted - and it was so good. Very generous and fresh. Highly recommend!!

We had the most wonderful stay thanks to the amazing host Francesca - she felt like a long lost friend and welcomed us like family. Her B and B is just what you imagine from a Tuscan home and the view was incredible. San Gimingano was only a short walk away - we were able to easily walk from the accomodation during the day and evening. We loved our stay here! Francesca and her family are so lovely and the service they provide is truly exceptional. They want to make sure you’re the most comfortable you can be - we didn’t experience this anywhere else on our trip (we also stayed in Pisa and Florence). The breakfast was our favourite part, with both hot and cold food overlooking the view. We will be back!

We were warmly welcomed by Francesca, she gave us great suggestions on where to eat and even reserved restaurant for us, not to mention other useful information in San Gimignano. The room was spacious and boost private big gardens, Francesca is so considerate that she puts mosquito spray everywhere so we can be more comfortable in the garden. Breakfast was the best we ever had in our 3 weeks in Italy, with scenic view of San Gimignano when enjoying baskets of yogurt, fruits, croissants and pastries, but the best thing was the savory plate, omelettes sandwiches and hams are highly appreciated as we are not very use to the sweet Italian breakfast options. If we come back to San Gimignano again, we will definitely stay with Francesca again!
