“Great for birding”

Very warm welcome by the host of the Lodge (that is a little down the road from the restaurant. We went with her husband and guide Alex at 5:20 AM to search for Quetzales and saw four. When we came back we had breakfast on the terrace of the restaurant and had it almost for our own (it gets very busy during lunch with groups).

Very good location in nature, close to area where possible to see quetzal birds with local guides

Great rustic bungalow in quiet forest location with wood burner. A little tricky drive but worth the effort with great staff, wonderful birds and walking tour with Alex. Really good food at Miriam's restaurant also but watch opening times. Highly recommended.

It's very cute to discover the quetzales area. Liliane and her Sister miriam (restaurant next door) and very sweet and welcoming. Really enjoyed our visit !

Nice lodges in the middle of nature. The best is breakfast in their restaurant where you can watch hummingbirds feeding.

Great restaurant with amazing view. So many birds. The lodge was perfect, heating in case of cold nights.

The cabin was very cozy and with views of the cloud forest from our window. We loved the restaurant for breakfast, especially with the large variety of birds that we could observe while eating. Hummingbirds were coming within a few inches of us at some points.

Brilliant birding location with amazing wildlife on your doorstep. The Cabana was clean, comfortable and had parking. Food at nearby Miriam’s Restaurant was superb with amazing birding from the patio. Would definitely go back

“A little gem of a place with spectacular bird life in the middle of nowhere.”

We loved this place. If you like birdwatching it’s spectacular. The chance of seeing the resplendent Quetzal is there but breakfast with the hummingbirds and other bird life is an experience you will not forget. The kitchen doesn’t serve alcohol but it does serve delicious local rainbow trout for dinner. Try the trout soup.

Very reasonably priced Accommodation in very popular area - especially since dinner and bkfst were included. Very pleasant people at accomodation and meal location. Miriams restaurant - although small - has an excellent bird viewing deck to see hummingbirds etc/
