Excellent hotel, well maintained and very clean

“Beautiful place to stay”

The breakfast was lovely. I had pinto beans, plantains, bacon, scrambled eggs one morning and fluffy pancakes with banana, strawberries and honey the next. Delicious. The choices for evening meals were very good and the food was excellent . We didn’t bother looking elsewhere. The trip to see the quetzal was fantastic, our guide Angel (apologies for spelling) found the bird and we all got photos. The gardens were beautiful, full of flowers so of course alive with hummingbirds, and a large range of other bird life. There were several trails we could take, so we got our steps in!

Nice hotel at the end of the valley, so one is really in the middle of nature. Our room was nice and clean, the warm blankets were great for the cool nights and there was also an electric heater. The small road down the valley is a bit adventerous but no bigger obstacle for the car. We did a bird watching tour, our guide there - Johanna - was great. Her enthusiams for the birds was afectious. Also there were a lot of different bird to see. Close to the hotel one can hike to waterfalls which is also great.

“I had a very good time”

I was very disappointed arriving, pitch dark and no internet. They moved me to a room close to the reception and I could use WIFI, a must coming here to look for birds to be able to use internet to check out the birds. After I got my WIFI it was 5 star. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good selection in the restaurant. They helped to book birding tours and I will stay here next time I am around. Very comfortable beds!

The road to the hotel is perfectly doable with a 2wd, sometimes a few potholes or a bit steep. But nothing to worry about. Don't get the negative reviews about that... The restaurant was good. The room was good with a nice shower and a view over the beautiful garden

“Little paradise”

The concept of villas watching beautiful garden almost as a paradise. Very calm place. Localisation in the very very heart of the park. Nice room with heater and hot water (in this area very good option!)Very friendly personel. They try their best.
