Inside the hotel is an oasis, but outside the hotel is a shabby, dangerous atmosphere. The rooms are cheap and I guess it is my fault for not doing the research--during the pandemic, downtown was abandoned and it became a homeless encampment. There were entire blocks with homeless set up in tents and exchanging drugs out in the open. We walked three blocks to a Michelin-star Thai restaurant and had a great meal but we were followed by a man who shouted at us the entire walk home. The hotel does offer a driver to take you anywhere in the city, but they stop that service at 7pm. What a shame for San Francisco and for all those unhoused living in terrible conditions. Also, the valet parking was outrageously expensive $100 per night! I would have never stayed there if I had known it and it took over 20 minutes to get our car.

Loved the hotel. Parking was hard. We had a long day of travel and delayed flights. Arrived at night. Couldn’t figure out where valet parking was. Drove around the property multiple times. Had to call front desk 3 times to get someone to come out to us and help. Eventually things were fine and the hotel marvelous.

The breakfast was superb! We had the Shakshuka on the rooftop and also had breakfast on the first floor patio restaurant. Excellent food and service. Hotel is centrally located between two playhouses, the Golden Gate Theatre and the Orpheum, both of which bring me to San Francisco. I highly recommend this hotel to friends and relatives.

Area (Tenderloin District) where the hotel is located is not up to standards at all and even dangerous. It is a pity for such a nice hotel.

The most amazing service and such a cool, modern hotel - I can't fault this place and would stay again in an instant. We only stayed for one night but the staff made us feel so welcome and comfortable, and treated us like VIPs!

The staff and service was excellent. The hotel is beautiful, restaurants amazing, room is great and good toiletries.

Felt like a damn movie star in this hotel. Staff really looked out for every detail - hooked me up with a better room, escorted me to the hotel bars and restaurants, and generally just made it a great experience. Super comfy bed. Beautiful design. Will be back.
