the location is convenience, we are able to do our cooking in the common kitchen. there is a hall for leisure time.

“Overall, a good stay”
We chose HI San Francisco mainly because of the free parking and the positive experiences we had with the HI hostel chain in Canada. The parking facility, located just a 2–3 minute walk from the hostel, was excellent. We were even allowed to leave our car there during the day while we visited Alcatraz, which was greatly appreciated. The location is another major advantage. Situated in the historic district, it is within easy walking distance of Fisherman’s Wharf and many of San Francisco’s main attractions.

“Amazing location and great facilities”
Great hostel with an amazing location and a beautiful view over San Francisco. The staff were very friendly and always available to help or answer questions. The facilities are excellent and very affordable, with laundry, postcards and stamps available on site, as well as a mailbox which was very convenient. There is also a water fountain, and coffee and tea are offered in the morning. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back if we have the chance!

“I recommend this hostel to any budget treveller”
better then I could have imagined. The views are stunning, the staff are so welcoming and helping, the building is an old military hospital, the atmosphere is incredible.
