“The best apartments on the island”

We loved everything at Petrouda's Apartments. The host is super nice and wellcoming. The room is very clean and have every thing that we need and the garden is very beautiful and we enjoyed sitting outside and having breakfast. We will definitely come back.

Peaceful location, good parking, well kept gardens, lovely hosts, our Seaview balcony was in the shade during the hottest part of the day - the gardens were still available if people wished to sit in the sun. Spacious accomodation, good kitchen space. All good.

“A very relaxing and cared-for place to stay.”

Great balcony with view of the mountains, well-kept garden in bloom and a view of the sea from one end. I liked that it was pretty quiet, very clean, with useful amenities in the room. I liked the kind people running it who helped me book a taxi and were friendly. I liked being able to walk to the sea in less than ten minutes. It’s very pebbly and sometimes hard to get in to swim but it was great being so close. The location is good for reaching Therma and some local restaurants. Car/wheels needed.

I had a pleasant two-day stay at petrouda's Apartments. The room was clean and provided everything one may need for a summer holiday. The host was very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend them.

Perfect location and great hosts

“A lovely place and a great location”

We had a lovely stay at Petrouda's. The whole place is very clean and homey, the room was spacious with a small kitchenette that provided everything we needed to cook occasionally. There is a beautiful garden, and a pebble beach very near, the whole area is super lush and green. The location between Therma and the port is very convenient. Our host Kiki welcomed us kindly, and everyone on site was very helpful and relaxed. Thank you, we had a great time!

“The worst accommodation!”

Where do I even begin? My family and I rented two rooms, one on the 1st floor (large) and one on the ground floor (small). In the room on the 1st floor, from the pictures we saw before renting it, there seemed to be two working air conditioners and two fans. However, when we arrived and settled in our rooms, we found that the air conditioner and the fan were not working. In fact, the owner, when I contacted him to point out the problem we had, came there very irritated and unwilling to help and informed us that he disconnected them himself and that we should make do with what we have. My parents and grandmother lived in this particular room, who during the 2 days of our vacation did not manage to rest and sleep comfortably, as after an hour of sleep they woke up sweating, since the only and under-functioning air conditioner offered inadequate cooling in the room. However, the problems we encountered in the room on the 1st floor were nothing compared to what we experienced in the room on the ground floor. The room was small, and the shower and the toilet were accommodated together in a small space without any separation between them or any curtains. On the second day of our stay, we used the bathroom and, as was logical, we closed (not locking ) the door that separated the shower area from the bed area so that the whole room does not fill with water. However when we finished and tried to leave, the door was stuck and wouldn't open (The wood was swollen from the bath waters of all those years and the lock was damaged too) . It should be noted here that the shower room had no window, only ventilation. After a long time of us calling for help, our parents looked for us and after realizing what had happened they called the owner to help them open . The outer door was locked with the key on the inside of the door. So the shortest solution would be to break the window to get in and then open the shower door for us.

“Homely apartments in quiet Kato Karioutes”

We chose Petrouda's apartment on the basis that it was in a good location near the sea and had facilities so that we could cook ourselves occasionally using local ingredients from the fishmongers, butchers and supermarket located in Kamariotissa. Overall the place was very homely with lovely gardens and modern interior. The view from the balcony (sea view room) was nice. Location: The place, Kato Karioutes, is very quiet which suited us well. The apartments are <100 m from the sea. The beach there is stone only, like many on the islands and lacks facilities such as sunbeds, a bar, showers and toilets but for us this was an advantage as the other beaches were a lot busier and noisy, where as we usually had the beach to ourselves so was surreen. From Kato Karioutes it is relatively easy to get around the island. There are also good eating options a short drive away. Cleanliness: The place was cleaned daily, with new sheets, tea towels and bath towels provided regular. The place is well kept with it appearing that it was not so long ago that it was decorated. A washing machine is available for a small fee, if i recall 5EUR, including washing powder. Hosts: Our host met us to give us the keys and were always friendly. They even gave us some of their excellent home grown fruit from the garden. Kitchen: The kitchen supplies were basic but met our needs and there is also a shared kitchen with more equipment if required. A quick run through of what was already in our room, just for reference: Large and small plates, bowl plates, water glasses, juice/wine glasses, coffee/tea mugs, a kettle, a coffee machine, a large and a small saucepan (frying pan available from shared kitchen), a sharp serrated knife and chopping board and tea towels. The fridge also contained a freezer compartment and ice cube trays. Washing up liquid was also provided. A few basics were available in the shared kitchen (sugar, oregano, salt).
