Overview
Lagrange Vacances Les Fermes de Samoëns, a ski resort classified by the Monuments Historiques for its beautifully preserved architecture and history. This new residence is composed of 120 apartments over small 2-storey buildings and semi-detached chalets built in the local architectural style. The Fermes also boasts an indoor heated swimming pool and a sauna. Bed linen and towels are provided in the units. It is located 800 metres from the centre, 400 metres from the first shops, 200 meters from a mountain bike trail and 1 km from the gondola (free shuttle bus every 15 min).

“Functional, authentic, practical and cosy. This is a great option for DIY catering if self drive”
The accommodation was roomy enough for a family with enough break out area to not me on top of each other. The pool was a nice idea although we didn't end up using it. There is a little local pizza shack for takeaway if you get stuck finding a table in town. Friendly staff who were helpful and seemed to enjoy what they did - which was nice.

Everything was excellent, the room was very warm, good location - less than 5 minutes to bus stop, quite area, grocery shop in 10 minutes walk, friendly staff.

Easy walking distance to the town and the ski lift - although there is a free shuttle bus as well.
