Overview
Casa Buenavista is located in Carrillo, 300 meters from the beach. It offers air-conditioned rooms in a tropical garden. Each room has a private bathroom with hot water, cable TV, Wi-Fi, ceiling fan, refrigerator and a private terrace overlooking the garden. Breakfast is served at the Rancho. Restaurants are available within a 5-minute walk, while Liberia Airport can be reached in 2 hours by car. Juan Santamaria International Airport in neighbouring Alajuela is a 4-hour drive away. Each room has a private bathroom with hot water, cable TV, Wi-Fi, ceiling fan, refrigerator and a private terrace. The Bungalow is apart from the Pool area and offers more privacy

A truly wonderful place to stay. The location is perfect – peaceful, surrounded by nature, and still close enough to explore the area. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the homemade jam at breakfast was absolutely delicious. We loved every minute of our stay and would happily return.

Room was pristine, breakfast was very generous and delicious. Staff was communicative and right on point. Pool was perfectly clean and in good condition. Shower was pristine, fresh sheets, pillows and very clean room!

“The only place you should stay at if visiting Samara!”
What is not to LOVE about this hotel!! Vincent you did an amazing job in building this place! Rooms were beautiful and spacious. Bathroom was nice, outside shower was AMAZING! Beds were sooo comfortable and the towels so soft! They literally thought of everything. There are even freezer bags available to use during your stay. The pool was beautiful (there are actually 2) and overall the place was just a peaceful oasis. Playa Carillo is a beautiful beach only 5min walk away. Oh and before I forget, the breakfast was delicious. I will dream of those pancakes forever.

Lovely location - beach is spectacular, just 5 minutes walk. The finishing touches in the apartment are great and the standard of fittings is high. Especially liked the coffee machine on the balcony - just right for an early morning cup.

The hotel’s photos do not do it justice. It is a peaceful haven. Clean, quiet and relaxing. The bed was huge and really comfortable. Balcony was nice to sit out on. Near some really nice restaurants. The steak house was really good! The area felt authentic Costa Rica. I would recommend this hotel highly. The hosts were really welcoming and accommodated our flexible schedule last minute.

Casa Buenavista is a beautiful, family-owned boutique hotel and we had a really wonderful stay. Our room was large and spacious, the grounds are immaculate, and the pool is absolutely beautiful. Breakfasts every morning were amazing, and one of the highlights was chatting with the owners in the mornings—they were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. You can really feel the care they put into this place. There are several good restaurants nearby, and Playa Carrillo is just a short walk away—an absolutely stunning beach. You can also easily drive to Sámara, which is about 15 minutes away, for more dining and shopping options. Overall, a fantastic stay at a charming hotel. We would absolutely return and highly recommend Casa Buenavista to anyone visiting the area.

Everything was absolutely exceptional! The hosts Millie and Vincent were amazing and couldn't do enough for me! The breakfasts were delicious and overall the B&B was superb! Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Carrillo.

“Relaxing getaway at Playa Carrillo”
Very friendly and accommodating hosts. Within 5-10 minutes walking distance to amazing beach, several restaurants and small grocery stores. Beautiful hotel and super clean.

Very helpful, informative host. Foyr of us rented the apartment with fully equiped kitchen and excellent, comfortable facilities, which enabled us to enjoy breakfasts and lunches on the deck. Great location with good restaurants, groceries and laid back beach an easy walk away.

The space was so special a piece of paradise just up the road from the beach . Which had the most amazing sunset i have ever seen. The host are welcoming ,the room is very big and the breakfast was so tasty. Met wonderful people, the environment was very peaceful. So many thanks
