We stayed there for one night, coming from a remote beach location to catch a flight for the next day and were looking for a comfortable place at a reasonable price, and this hotel was exactly what we needed. The hotel is located in the Rio Vermelho neighborhood, a block from a "square" with great bars, acarajé, live music, etc. It is a historical home with a "modern" extension.The old part is beautiful, a great example of colonial-style architecture. Our room was in the "modern" wing, of a good size, with a very comfortable queen size bed, very good shower pressure and quiet A/C unit. A window looked over an internal garden, so it was very quiet. We could hear kitchen noises, though, in the morning. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, served in a beautiful area in the inner courtyard, very tastefully decorated with local ceramics. The staff were very nice. There was somebody at the gate 24 hours, so we felt very safe coming and going. They kept our luggage in a locked storage room, as we had a late flight. From the hotel it is a 20-minute Uber ride to Pelourinho.

The building and garden are beautiful! Great staff, very nice breakfast, super comfortable bed and next to our favourite bar, 'So Shape'. Aircondition and shower probably best we had in Brazil! We sadly stayed only one night but would happily return.

The hotel is in an excellent location, very safe, and perfect for people who want to experience a charming bohemian neighborhood of the city where there is also vibrant nightlife. The hotel has a very interesting aesthetic and extremely friendly staff. The beds were very comfortable. They also allowed us to leave our luggage with them for five days free of charge, which was truly very kind and commendable. Highly recommended.

This is a very charming hotel. It felt like a home but with services of a hotel. The room was spacious and cleaned so well. You have some nice outdoor and also some common spaces too. The staff were wonderful. There are also many places to eat and drink nearby. The beach is also one minute away. I couldn’t recommend this more.

It is a great hotel, beautiful old building, superb public area, nicely decorated, spotlessly clean, excellent breakfast and smiling staff. Sheila is especially commandable for her constant assistance and support. Location is amazing. You really feel relaxed. Highly recommended.
