The first part of our stay was very good, Gerardo was very considerate and welcoming. The breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and the location is excellent. This is very old school accommodation, and could perhaps use updating but everything was clean.

Gerardo, the host, was incredible! He's very kind, friendly and so helpful. The place is small but very clean. The location is near small bars to have something to drink or eat.

- very friendly and attentive host / owner of the hostel; also very helpful - even on day I had to leave early he prepared some breakfast which I did nog expect because it was very early - the location is very good : 4 minutes walk to Pelourinho - good breakfast (papaya, fresh fruit juice, eggs) - safe also for solo female travelling

Nice quiet place to stay on the way to historic center. Clean and cosy. Plenty if choices for breakfast. Owner is very helpful and put lots of efforts to make you feel welcome

If I return to Salvador, this will be my first choice again. A simple room, but in a very good location, quiet and a very nice host. I slept very well and the breakfast was delicious.

“Good location and place for the price, but could not recommend it given the limited flexibility”
Very good location overall although the last 2 streets at night can feel a bit unsafe, the room is fine for the price, breakfast is simple but good. More than anything price is cheap.

Gerardo the host is very accommodating, he stayed awake and waited until 1am to open to us. The property is very good value for money and in the heart of Salvador.
