Super location, just at harbor (but not noisy). Hotel with heritage, old design and very good service. Oldish floors and public corners. Very good breakfast. We did not use the SPA. Hotel is undergoing with some refurbishments (but not dirty or broken).. Also one good restaurant in harbor if you like dining outside.

“Grleat stay, if the re-building doesn't worry you.”

Exceptionally friendly and pleasant. (But take a look at other hotels nearby...) My room was relatively cheap, but also relatively small, and with no view. As you can see from the photos, this hotel has location, location, location. Saltsjöbaden is one of the loveliest spots and there is a bus to Stockholm right in front of the door.

The view was spectacular. The breakfast was superb.

“Good”

The property is excellently located jext to the sea with beautiful views on the left wing top floor and forward. Unfortunately, the parking is located straight in the front and to the right side, so front and right wing rooms don't have such a nice view, but overall the setting is good. At first the rooms were located in different wings but a helpful reception reorganised so that both rooms were on the same left hand wing and overlooking the sea. This was very appreciated, 5* service points!

“Not inexpensive but beautiful hotel for a weekend trip”

Saltsjöbaden is beautifully located in the Stockholm archipelago and the hotel is a fantastic old building by the sea. Breakfast was truly good, the beds comfortable and the view out to the sea wonderful as promised. Ideally, there is a nostalgic train connecting the city centre to the outskirts but unfortunately, the track is under intensive reconstruction. The bus connection is less romantic but at least you get where you need to. The hotel has construction work going on, as well, but, possibly due to the weekend, we didn't experience any discomfort. The hallways showed some clear signs of construction work but the staff did their best to mask that.

The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, which are gradually restoring its magic, both inside and out. The crew is doing a commendable job of maintaining cleanliness and minimizing disruption. It's quite enchanting to witness this transformation unfold. In the future, it promises to become a splendid example of old-world charm, rejuvenated and ready to shine. Initially, we were assigned an unrenovated room with a sea view, but upon the receptionist's generous suggestion, we switched to a newly renovated room. It was a significant improvement, despite being on the ground floor, featuring a wonderful bathroom and comfortable beds.

Beautiful historic building in a very nice location, staff were very polite and helpful.

It’s a beautiful old hotel well placed outside Stockholm. Hotel has sizeable rooms for a family and an excellent breakfast with variety of choice. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The surrounding area is peaceful and perfect for walks along the promenade away from bustle of the city. Can highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a tranquil stay.

Great overall feeling in the hotel. Great look from the window. Two types of pillows. Georgeus breakfast with lot of options and look from the window at breakfast venue. Hotel location from Stockholm center and public transportation is additional plus.

“Charming grand hotel in the archipelago”

The hotel is old but it has a charm to it that I really liked. Our room was very big, with an apart section for our kid's bed so that was amazing and the sea view was incredible. It is ideal to relax because it is very quiet and far from the city. The restaurant Paviljon was also very good and has also amazing views. The staff was friendly, I didn't have any issues with them not talking in English to me.

Location, atmosphere, restaurants; splendid for a getaway from Stockholm.
