It is like staying in a zoo with animals freely walking around the property, a true ecological oasis. Fiorella and her team were super friendly. Fiorella even arranged a courier to send some items we left behind onto our next destination.

It was like staying at a zoo with great ocean views and interesting animals. I loved the monkeys and peacocks. The owner suggested a great place to eat on the beach and the kids played on the shore while we had drinks and waited for our food.

“Lovely B&B for nature lovers”

We spent almost a week there and felt more like visiting friends than being in a B&B. Gabriel, the owner showed us around the town and had a lot of helpful recommendations. It is a perfect place if someone wants to be outside the town and enjoying nature and animals. The hotel is also a shelter for animals. The access to the beach is a bit tricky but once you are there you have the beach almost for yourself.

The accommodations and service was incredible- an outstanding experience. The location was perfect for us since we did not want to stay in a busy condo but wanted to be close to Salinas beaches. Gabriel and his staff were so attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we loved our stay. The room was very spacious and comfortable and we appreciated the unique decor. Gabriel is an excellent host who offered to take us to a wonderful restaurant and guided us on a visit to La Chocolatera. The other guests also joined us for dinner and we all enjoyed drinks at the beautiful deck overlooking the ocean after our return. He added so much to the experience without being intrusive. The welcome of the owner, also nature, the trees, the animals, a very nice little monkey went very close to me, trees, the view from the terrace, the beach, all in fact. The breakfast was superb and the staff was very friendly and attentive. It was a perfect stay¡

✨✨✨The hospitality of the owner, staff and the animals. We immediately made friends with the monkeys, the peacocks, the lovely dogs, ducks, chickens, birds and turtles! Amazing how the staff takes care of them all! When we arrived, the owner Gabriel showed us where we could eat and took us there. The next day he took us on a full tour to all the good spots and places, from beaches to a walk in the lush jungle to some waterfalls to a great lunch spot. Thank you Gabriel!

“Amazing, Beautiful Place with Friendly People and a Great Private Location”

El Faro is AMAZING. It's like a secret garden right by the ocean. It has three common areas to sit, two with bars and one is a second floor deck with a beautiful view of the ocean. The owner Gabriel and the staff member Julio were soooo friendly the whole time. They offered pick up and to tour me to nearby popular locations for no extra charge. The breakfast was great, at other places I found it hard to get fruit but they catered to my preferences here. The rooms are so cute, they have GIANT beds and some rooms are big enough for an entire family. Another EXEPTIONAL favorite is there is wifi across the ENTIRE property. This is important to me because I was working online and needed internet access. Being able to work in my room, at the tables or in a hammock close to the beach was great. The best part is the lodge works with the Environmental Authorities to protect the animals they have here. All the exotic animals are brought to El Faro by donation and every bit of the money from your booking goes toward caring for the animals. This is especially important now, because the numbers of bookings have dropped since the pandemic. I would 100% recommend anyone to come here. I extended my stay 3 extra nights because I loved it so much, and I definitely will come back when I'm in Ecuador again.
