Reception and corridors could all do with updating. Many floor tiles broken and loose in reception which makes its hazardous underfoot. The corridors need repainting and some artwork on walls would make it much more pleasant

“Charming old grand hotel”
This is a charmingly old but freshly renovated hotel and a must for all fans of the film "The Grand Budapest Hotel". The rooms are bright and clean, and many have a nice view on the adjacent park. The front desk staff is exceptionally nice and helpful.

“Grand hotel in need of a makeover.”
Grand hotel with huge room and comfortable beds. Looking a little tired and in need of some TLC. Staff were excellent and very accommodating. Slot machines gave it a sort of downmarket feel but it was a casino hotel. Great location in centre of an interesting town. Unbeatable VFM. No hesitation in recommending it to other travellers.

Very conveniently located. The core of the hotel is an old building which makes the interior layout a bit idiosyncratic. Don’t worry about it. Very charming and helpful staff.
