“Perfect location for seeing old Salers and surrounding region.”

Loved everything, Jean- Claude was a great bloke, very helpful, lovely breakfast. Location was spot on. 5 mins walk from the old town, and central for exploring the volcano region. Very comfortable rooms, would go back there in an instant.

Beautifully situated chambres d'hotes. Stunning views, yet easy access to the historic village of Salers. Very comfortable accommodation and very helpful host. I would thoroughly recommend la Grange

“Mixed - I was a bit disappointed but my wife less so.”

Small and bland room, had to stand on the bed to see out the window. The breakfast was pretty decent and the host did his best to accommodate his guests. Best part was meeting fellow travellers at the breakfast table. Ate well but not spoilt for choice as many restaurants / bars were closed, or only open for brief windows. Spacious parking. Unsettling vibe from ‘house rules’ - ‘If you lock your room, please do not take the key with you and leave it on the ground floor where there are some hook to let it (near the stairs)’. Thankfully he didn’t try and enforce that ‘rule’.

Very close to the centre of Salers. Excellent cleanliness and facilities for a B&B. Owner very friendly and helpful. Great breakfasts.

“Perfect spot for a visit to Salers.”

Beautiful location, very handy for a delightful walk into Salers, avoiding the parking hassle of the town. Lovely old building, tastefully modernised. Great kitchen use possibility and guest fridge. Good base for walking in the stunning Puy Mary , Puy Violent areas. Jean Luc is a great host, anxious to help. Lots of knowledge and books on local history, geology, sentier routes etc Great view from the bedroom, which was spacious and with a good bathroom. Communal breakfast is interesting , chatting to folks from France and Belgium.

“A must see location, a perfect stay!”

Beautiful, tranquil location, a very short walk to Salers, a private path provides a shortcut. Very comfortable room with A/C. The room also had a very efficient fan. Important as we visited during a heatwave. The best thing about our visit was our host. He really wanted us to have a memorable stay, he offered excellent advice for activities we could enjoy despite the soaring temperatures. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Breakfast was prepared to order - ask for it and he will do his very best to accommodate you!

The hosts were great, very helpful and thoughtful. The location is ovely in that it is in a beautiful rural setting but only a short walk into town. An excellent breakfast and excellent facilities in the room.

5/10 minute walk to the centre of the lovely village of Salers. Quiet location. Nice room and facilities. The owners were great and offered conversation and information. There was a superb collection of books and guides to the region. The walks in the Volcans are excellent and this is a great location for a number of them.
