Everything was perfect… we really enjoyed our stay in this authentic and beautiful finca… the owner makes you feel welcome and the experience is absolutely worth it… the are amazing and helpful and the food is delicious and a lot of homemade things…

“A paradise, like home away from home.”

This is an extraordinary place. Nestled in the hills, lots of greenery, cows and horses on the fields, it’s a little paradise. But what makes this place really unique, is the owner Doris. A genuine sweet and kind person that goes above and beyond to accommodate you and ensure you have a good stay. I was supposed to stay here 2 nighs but ended up staying 6 nights and loved every minute of it. I used the place to explore the Cocora Valley and the surroundings and everytime I came back parking in the driveway it was like coming home. And Doris is an exellent cook, too. Very good breakfast and you can order dinner too from a varied menu. I loved the grilled trout, the barbeque ribs and even the spaghetti bolignese was delicious. I will miss this place a lot.

“Traditional finca for a relaxing staying in Salento”

Doris welcomed us in the best way, she is taking care of everything and making sure our stay was going in the best way. The horse riding with Olivier is unmissable experience.

Doris (and her team) are wonderful! Super helpful, good food, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Its homely, there are 2 friendly dogs and a cat. We were sad to leave.

“Just perfect :)”

Everything was awesome. The place is beautiful! Doris was just the perfect host! She will sort out anything you need! Even if you come from a long day she will sort your dinner out so you can find warm food :). Doris will call taxis if you need them at very good rates, so you actually don't need a car. Even from and to the airports.

We just had the best time at this Finca. Doris and her staff are doing all their best to make you feel happy. The Finca is a 10min taxi ride (25’000COP) away from Salento and Doris can always help you with transports to the area. I can highly recommend the horse riding tour with their own horses and the tour guide Oliviero. Breakfast and also all the other meals you can get for lunch and dinner are delicious and prepared with so much love. The rooms are perfectly clean and laundry service was great too.

“Scenic stay just outside of Salento”

Doris and her team were so friendly and kind, very warm atmosphere, everything was taken care of. The Finca is a little outside of Salento (approx. 10mins by taxi) with beautiful views and lots of animals around (cows, horses, dogs).

Dona Doris is the most welcoming and warm host you can imagine, and the entire staff was just lovely!

La Playa is a peaceful haven close to Salento. Doris and the entire team are the kindest and most hospitable people. The suite has amazing views of the surrounding nature. We would 100% recommend and stay there again. Gracias!

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. Doris and her cousin were so warm and welcoming and helped us in every way from arranging transport to arranging excursions. The surroundings were beautiful, the food delicious and fresh and the horse rides with Hector were the best we have ever done with spectacular views and well trained horses.

Our host Doris was extremely friendly, thoughtful and helpful. Every morning a delicious and varied breakfast. We wish we had more time to enjoy the beautiful region around Salento from finca La Playa.

We loved this place! We felt like we were visiting family. Dora and her staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and always ready to help with any request or question we might have. It's wonderful to relax, spend some time at the finca, enjoy a wonderful hike to a waterfall in the surroundings or visit the Valle de Cocora or Salento, only 15 min drive. We definitely recommend this place!

“Nature, coffee, and friendliness”

The experience was unforgettable, the house is located in the middle of nature which allows you to enjoy the environment, many activities, morney coffee.. and 15 mins away from Salento and el Cocora. As colombian, really recommend it! Especially the owners (two sisters) are extremely friendly and will make you feel at home!

First of all Doris is a fantastic host (i would rate her 11* if possible) and did absolutely everything to make our stay as comfortable and great as possible. She made us feel like a part of the family and helped with everything to make our stay a great experience, such as organizing transportation, trips and great food and drinks. Besides trips to Salento, coffee farms and the Cocora Valley, i can recommend to discover the area arround the finca incl. viewpoints and waterfalls on horseback with a guide, which was absolutely great (no experience required). The rooms are rather simple but very clean and equipped with good working hot showers, which is not always standard in Colombia. The breakfast is individually and freshly prepared and includes hot drinks, natural juice, fruit, eggs, bread, muesli and joghurt and differs every day. The finca offers transportation to Salento, which is a 10 min drive. All in all Finca la Playa is the perfect place, if you want to stay at an authentic finca in the middle of the stunning landscape of the Salento region.

“Amazing”

The location is perfect and the stuff absolutely fantastic. We loved this accomodation and we would definitely recommend it to everybody. One of the best that we ever stayed in. The food was also great. They offer horseback riding and it was an amazing experience.
