“Idyllic Hideaway with Views and Outdoor Bath”

Fantastic little house with a lovely covered terrace where you can sit and enjoy the view over the fields, or take a bath in the outdoor bathtub. Very idyllic. Melantha made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was already in the fridge – everything was very nice.

What a charming little place to stay for a night or two for walks around the Sale and western lakes area. So many lovely little touches. Loved our horse and paddock and indulged in the outdoor bath. Wonderful host. Thank you. We hope to stay again!

The property provided a quiet amenity and privacy..real country feel! Host provided a delicious breakfast including coffee pod machine. Bed was comfortable. Separate toilet and shower. Outdoor bath was a winner!

Loved the uniqueness of the property, the addition of some breakfast supplies and the use of the small but perfectly proportioned space. A little more detail to checking cleanliness standards of the kitchen utensils would be good for future guests as one of th dishes and one saucepan was dirty and the cutlery and utensils drawers could have been wiped out and cleaner but perhaps that was just an oversight! Didn’t meet our host at all but liked the welcome message on the chalk board

DIY beautiful muesli eggs and bacon. The quiet remote location was exactly what we needed. A bit too cold for the outdoor bath but a great idea for a warmer night.

From the moment we arrived and stepped into our cottage it was beautiful. So many thoughtful accessories ( fresh flowers , eggs/ bread/ bacon /jams and it goes on. I requested cheese and champagne it came with chocolate and it was more than you could have asked for , many extras like olives, stuffed bell peppers and gourmet cheeses. My husband and I were relaxed and enjoyed every thing the property offered. From the outdoor bath with complimentary bubbles to the outside fire pit. We had privacy and we rested and slept like babies. We will be back next year for our anniversary. Absolutely recommend this gorgeous little hidden gem to anyone.

Fantastic for a couples weekend with the outdoor twin bath with privacy blinds looking at the garden nature the beautiful horse “Gypsy” The decor and facilities and the northern view from the most comfortable bed, waking up to the rooster birds was awesome The little touches like bacon eggs & bread in the fridge just topped off the stay, pity it was for one night on the day of flooding rain.

Wagtail is definitely a must stay. It has a unique appeal with the cosy cottage vibe and a paddock straight out your door to admire the horses. The huge bath at the front is a very nice touch and having breakfast included is handy as well. You do feel you have your own privacy while knowing if you have any queries you will get the communication you need. All in all a great short stay.

Location was good although you would need a car to get to it. Everything you could need for a short stay was provided and the outside bath was a real bonus.
