It was just an overnight stop off but it was very comfortable with an excellent meal in the restaurant.

location close to Motorway. Hotel has character and is set in nice grounds in quiet location.Restaurant very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms recently redecorated so everything spotless with good bathroom.

Stayed here on the way to skiing. Owners are delightful and position great, a 5 min walk from the centre of a bustling little town. Restaurant very good and much needed after a long day driving. Will return next year.

Lovely location and grounds. We had our dog staying with us and she was most welcome. Great grounds but just down the road was a park and a river where we had a great walk. Excellent restaurant and restaurant staff

We arrived early and they were happy to hold our luggage whilst the room was being finished. Location is great and room is large and comfortable. We had dinner and drinks in the restaurant, which were high quality, but can’t comment on the breakfast as we were away early.

In the centre if town, so a convenient stopover on the way south. Beautiful building in its own grounds with an elegant interior. The restaurant was super with excellent food and service - plus it was all dog friendly.

No instructions on how to use egg boiler - after 3 undercooked eggs, gave up.

Lovely old building with comfortable facilities near the centre of a pretty town with riverside walks. Very good local cuisine served in the restaurant- family run and feels appropriately local and friendly. We stopped one night on longer journey - could readily have stayed longer.

Friendly helpful staff. Fantastic large comfortable room with a balcony. Very comfortable bed. Excellent evening meal and very good breakfast. Will definitely stay again.

The location of the hotel is within easy walking distance from the train station. We had a meal in the restaurant one evening and the food was excellent. We booked two rooms, both were spacious and one had a balcony which was a fantastic addition. Good experience, we would stay there again.
