Breakfast was typically French (croissants and French bread and jam) plus the bonus of deliciously light chocolate cake - we took one piece with us for the journey! Jean-Francois was very welcoming and we found the setting fascinating: an old metal smithy which had been in his family for generations, lots of original tools on display in the dining room.

Very pleasant host, very nice breakfast, property was old French style and comfortable. Large bedroom, large bathroom, large lounge, large kitchen.

It is a spacious and clean bedroom & a lovely living room (we didn't use it though) in a convenient location. 5 minutes walk to a nice restaurant/ bars. A lovely river and picnic area just across the property. Secure parking overnight (gate locked after 9pm) A wonderful breakfast ( homemade cake was bonus) was served in cosy "Atelier" which used to be metal workshop with old tools on display. Such a character, we really enjoyed staying there.

Absolutely superb, François was a brilliant host. We were hoping to stay again on our way back, but it is unsurprisingly booked up again. The personal touches were excellent, including a lovely piece of cake for breakfast!

Very clean, spacious rooms in old farmhouse type buildings situated by a pretty river, within easy walking distance to bars and restaurants. Included lounge with TV, access to a kitchen, very comfortable bed/bedroom. Pretty decor with an antiquities theme. Friendly welcoming host. Traditional breakfast. Easy parking.

Fabulous suite of rooms in a traditional French farmhouse. Within walking distance of local bars and restauraunts. Friendly staff. Secure off road parking. Beautiful location.

The host was welcoming and showed us our room, the lounge and where breakfast was held. The room was large with a big, comfortable bed. Breakfast was good with a lovely slice of chocolate cake!

The host was fantastic, very welcoming , he has a beautiful property in a nice quiet spot . So much charm and character at the property . The continental breakfast and homemade cake was really nice . The location is handy we stopped here overnight then travelled further south the next morning .

I booked this as an overnight stop for myself and daughter as we were travelling through the area. There is a very tight arrival window which wasn't well communicated. We arrived slightly late and called the property several times but had no response. We had to find last minute alternative accomodation for the night which was not ideal. The property have been contacted directly and through Booking.com and are uninterested in discussing the issues or even issuing a partical refund although they had no cleaning costs or breakfast to supply. I would avoid.

Very large room plus a big bathroom and kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. Great location, very pretty area.

Simple but adequate breakfast, in keeping with the room charge. You could opt for an indoor or outdoor breakfast. The property occupies an old forge and the breakfast room was steeped in metal working antiquities. A beautifully maintained property. Owner was very welcoming and shared a history of the house. Situated in a quiet location by the river. Lovely area for an evening stroll. Secure parking within the property boundaries with a gate locked at night. We were very impressed. Salbris is ideally situated for an overnight stay between Calais and the southn of France.
