It was a rainy, cold day, and I was soaked from my hike. My host made sure that the cottage was warmed up and awesome fluffy, warm blankets were on my bed! There was also an oil heater available to use, and my clothes dried overnight. She and her son were friendly and welcoming. I booked supper and had a most amazing 3-course meal. The food was excellent - she's a really good cook! They both kept me company and I had a really good time. Breakfast was included in my stay and she asked upfront for preferences. Just loved my freshly brewed pot of coffee, Loads of reading material and very kid friendly environment with lots of entertainment options for them. I also really liked the thought given to sustainable living. I had a wonderful time and highly recommend staying there.

“Perfect place to stay before and after to Mafate cirque trekking.”
Christel is a very friendly and helpful host. She makes you feel as a part of her family and like if you were at home. Moreover is an amazing cooker. The place is easy and cozy (not a luxurious hotel) but with everything that you need, and next to Mafate cirque.

the owner is such a super friendly and nice person. but, unfortunately, a bit unorganized. the location is close to the street that brings you to col des boefs. we thought that this is important if you want to take the early morning bus up to there.

Breakfast and Dinner was great! The raspberry cake was amazing! The view is beautiful 😍 Christel is fluently in English.
