“A beautiful house in a great location with charming hosts.”
Danie and Jean Yves were delightful and very helpful. The house was very beautiful, immaculate and full of interesting things. Our well appointed, comfortable room was spacious with a view over the lovely garden which were were welcome to wander round and sit in. The breakfast was full of delicious home made delights, beautifully presented. The location of the house was ideal, just a short walk to all the historic places of interest in Saintes.

“Great comfort in the perfect location.”
We stayed in the one bedroom house next door to the owner. It was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view of the garden and Roman ruins. Our host was very welcoming and did everything to make our stay enjoyable.

“A haven in Saintes.”
Lovely B & B with a gorgeous garden. The hosts Danie & Jean-Yves were very welcoming & on arrival we had cold drinks & cannelles in the garden. The room was very comfortable with a great ensuite & the breakfast couldn’t be faulted. They helped me with my french & even gave me a lift to the station when I left. I can’t recommend this place enough & if I ever return to Saintes I would book La Maison des Thermes in a heartbeat.

“Friendly, comfortable home, we shall definitely stay again on our trips through France”
We were greeted by Danie and her husband. Very friendly, helpful and informative. The location is good, a gentle 10 minute walk from the centre of Saintes which has a good selection of restaurants. The bed was very comfortable, an excellent night's sleep. Super breakfast, beautifully presented - usual croissants, pain au chocolate, baguette, fresh coffee and tea, selection of homemade jams, fresh fruit, tasty homemade yoghurt, excellent homemade gallettes......

Delightful hosts, large comfortable bedroom, newly refurbished bathroom, fantastic little hairdryer, tasty breakfast. Danie even made us coffee to take away in our flask for the onward journey. We even managed to get a parking space just outside the property.

A very warm welcome from Danie. well appointed and very comfortable room with first-class ensuite. Delightful breakfast in the morning room. lots of nice touches including home-made jams from the garden. excellent value for money and top hospitality. A must for staying again. 😀
